SCHOENSTATT, mkf. Expectations grow and the participants for Conference 2014 are arriving daily: Sister M. Rebecca from Australia, Sister M. Casilda from Brazil, Sister M. Virgina from Ecuador, Manuel Huapaya from Peru…On Friday, January 30th, participants will be arriving every two hours, and a helper will go to the airport: at 5:00 a.m. Father Jean Bernard and Sister M. Lisette from Burundi arrived at 5:00 a.m. later two translators, Angie Santos from Houston, USA and Mary Cole from England…A stream of graces will also arrive with the delegates who land in Frankfurt and Cologne; because their suitcases carry treasures…they bring the most precious thing from their National Shrine, they will bring an expression of grace that emerged from October 18th and that became a reality in their country. Manuel Huapaya’s, the father of three children, eyes shine when he answers the question about the symbol that he brought, and almost solemnly he says: "the Shrine’s crown". The crown from the Shrine in Lima, from where the Schoenstatt Family will accompany the Conference with their prayers. The Father Symbol given by Argentina for the door of the Original Shrine since 1981, was lost for many years and it was recuperated in Austin, United States, in 2006 thanks to a search via schoenstatt.de, it is a symbol that went on pilgrimage through many communities and dioceses in Argentina, the MTA’s chariot of triumph, the symbol of the Schoenstatt Family from Costa Rica that is conquering their Shrine… The International Auxiliary arrived at dawn on January 30th, after more than a year of pilgrimage through Burundi, Congo, Tanzania and Rwanda. The Queen of the New Evangelization of the entire world, blessed by John Paul II in 1987, which was present at World Youth Day 1987 and 2005, that was present at the founding of the Campaign in several countries of Latin America, in spreading the Illuminated Rosary in Germany, at the CELAM Conference in Santo Domingo of 1992, at the blessing of the Shrine of Belmonte, will return from its mission in Africa to preside at the Conference 2014. On the morning of February 2nd, at 8:45 a.m. all the participants, country by country, will present the symbol of their Schoenstatt life, the stream of life and graces that has surged in their country, to the MTA, in this place from which they received everything, where everything began, and that today they want to enrich with the life that was born in all the continents. Father Kentenich spoke so many times about the return current. On February 2nd it will be seen, touched, and heard…with great anticipation for the centennial of the Covenant of Love. The historic moment of this morning is worthy to be the first live transmission from the Original Shrine, via livestream. The recording, heroic for many, can be followed at the same time… at www.schoenstatt-tv.de A Cenacle, Father’s FamilyFor the Conference to be a Cenacle, Father’s Family, the delegates will begin each day with Holy Mass at 7:30 a.m. in the Chapel of House Marienland. They will celebrate together in the different languages of those present. On each day, the work (be it the plenary or the workshop) will begin by hearing Father’s voice. It is he who wants to tell them how much this historic time means for the road of his work, through the threshold of its second century of existence and fruitfulness for the church and the world. Each work session will begin its plenary or workshop with a prayer. Every night, Father will wait for them at the place where he rests. Day by day, the prayer of the Schoenstatt Family will accompany them, sustain us, and commit us. In order for the Conference to be a process of forming opinión and will, that will lead everyone to make decisions that everyone shares, the dynamics of the program is defined by the streams that emerge in the midst of the community of the Conference. The slate of workshops and plenaries, the presentations and editing depend on this. Father José Maria Garcia, Sister Luciano Machens along will all the preparation team wait and give their all so that it will grow, day by day, on paper, as well as in the souls, so that they may work together to discern what Father wants for his family at this time. Thousand thanks to everyone from far and near who are participants of this Conference with their prayers and contributions to the Capital of Grace. Translation: Celina Garza, San Antonio, TX, USA |
