COSTA RICA, Michelle Ramirez. The Schoenstatt Shrine leads to paths of great happiness. The massive retreats the large family from Costa Rica has had recently cannot be explained…Conquests, deeds, and proofs of filial love have motivated us to continue on the road that our Founding Father left as a legacy. What a Covenant Day, what a great October 18th was experienced in Costa Rica! Those dawns at five in the morning every two weeks have given the Blessed Mother her place of honor. Now she wants the Dawn Breakers to continue visiting her and to accompany her to another area of the capital: the western part! At exactly six o’clock in the afternoon, we saw her parade through the city to a completely filled church. With great emotion, Hugo and Derek lifted her and those who followed behind them saw those exemplary men capturing her with their perseverance, self-giving, love, and discipline. Thanks be to God, to the Blessed Mother, and the Pastor, Father Ronnly Solano, who have entrusted their parish to the Blessed Mother. More celebrations! On the same day at 9:00 a.m., the entire Costa Rican Schoenstatt Family was united to pray a Rosary; there were food and songs. The group, "The Earlybirds", who get up at 5:30 a.m. on Wednesday every two weeks, to pray at the wayside shrine on the grounds of the future Shrine were celebrating their first anniversary at the place where graces are already experienced; it is a holy place, beautiful, and peaceful. Father Emilio Garreaud, a friend of the Family from the Catholic University, accompanied them and blessed them on this very special day. Still more happening on the 18th…The Boys’ Youth and the Pioneers, who are at camp and who kept vigil with the Blessed Mother all night, welcomed everyone to the grounds that all were greatly desiring to see. The Pioneers were the Blessed Mother’s hosts. They welcomed and joined everyone in prayer and song, and to shout love for Her to the world. Providentially on that day all over the world, children had united in the prayer of the Rosary! Of course for many who just been introduced and met each other, a good time was had, and a photo of the Youth had to be taken: Pioneers with Pre-allies and Allies! What a beautiful future awaits us…yet there’s one more gift! After a few days a "little bit of heaven came down" when 113 Covenants of Love were sealed on October 25th.
