FRANCE, Pierre Laurent Bagneres. On October 20th, near Genf, René Lejeune died at the age of 86. Professor, ambassador, writer, poet… was married to Adelaide, and the father of ten children. He always lived with the joy of being a friend of God. René Lejeune wrote a great deal about Father Kentenich and Schoenstatt. His book, Tested like Gold in Fire, about Joseph Engling and Karl Leisner contributed to making Schoenstatt better known in France, Belgium, Switzerland, and Burundi was written in German and published by Parvis in 1991. In France on Thursday, October 23rd, at 2:30 p.m., he was buried at the cemetery of Lucinge, between the towns of Annecy and Genf. Let us praise God for the smile that always shone on the face of our friend. Translation: Celina Garza, San Antonio, USA/amj |
