MEXICO, Felipe and Cuchi Gallardo. This past 19th-21st of September in San Luis Potosí, Mexico, the ninth annual Schoenstatt Marriage Enrichment took place. This event is a retreat for married couples by giving them the opportunity to deepen, value, and improve their relations with their marriage partner. Those who assisted took part in a series of talks and activities given by the priests who accompanied them, Fr. Felipe Rios and Fr. Guillermo Múzquiz, as well as Sister M. Lourdes Macías and a team of married couples belonging to the Family Branch who gladly organized this apostolate. The talks are designed to motivate reflection for each person and for the couple, which inspires them to rediscover the value and bring out the sheen in the marriage relationship. The assistants end the retreat with a solemn Eucharistic celebration, followed by a dinner, before they return to their homes; happy and motivated to put into practice what they have learned during these days. An inspiring activitySchoenstatt Marriage Enrichment is a very inspiring activity and of great use for married life. In addition, for many married couples it is the first contact with the Schoenstatt Family and its spirituality of marriage and family. Motivated by the success it has enjoyed in Mexico, it is also being carried out in other countries like Costa Rica, and recently in Italy. The Schoenstatt Families of Rome, who in June sealed their Covenants of Love, are now preparing the second Roman Marriage Enrichment with great enthusiasm. Translation: amj, USA |
