USA, Christi Jentz. August 17 at the International Center in Waukesha, Wisconsin, it was a typical Covenant Sunday with many small but meaningful moments. There was an impressive con-celebration of the Covenant Mass, with Priests and Schoenstatt Fathers from Germany, Switzerland, Chile, who were on pilgrimage, retreat, or tertiate in the land of exile. In the Shrine, one could see adults and youth silently placing their prayer requests, thanks, and sacrifices written on slips of paper into the jar. High school girls preparing to leave for college visited the Shrine. Becky, a Schoenstatt girls’ youth leader, will attend Aquinas College in California this fall. A moving moment came in the dedication of a newborn baby girl. A family has accepted this twelve day-old infant into their care, and they hope to adopt her. They had Fr. Dieter Haas dedicate the baby to the Blessed Mother and offer up their request for adopting her. It was just another typical Covenant Sunday with its many stories of love, commitment, and joy in the Covenant of Love.
