AUSTRALIA, Father Marcelo Aravena. Turn the Night into Day, a night of vigil: With this motto the Schoenstatt Family, especially their youth celebrated a beautiful nocturnal vigil in the Shrine of Armadale with the cross and the icon, symbols of the World Youth Day 08, which will take place in July in Sydney. Truly night became day; time passed very quickly with the songs, testimonies, prayers and sharing as a family. A very special moment was when the illuminated rosary was prayed in the Shrine. There was a beautiful atmosphere of devotion and of encounter with Jesus and Mary was experienced. Come Holy Spirit!A Holy Mass was celebrated at five o’clock in the morning with dawn breaking on the horizon; they meditated on Mary at the foot of the Cross. They prayed for the Church in Australia and their Catholic youth. They implored the Holy Spirit to fill youthful hearts with its strength and Pentecostal enthusiasm. Farewells are always hardThe program for the Vigil concluded at dawn. The hearts and the faces were filled with joy and gratitude. They bid farewell to the Cross and the Icon with nostalgia. Everything ended with a breakfast, Australian style, around the barbeque. There was a little bit of everything, for the spirit as well as for the body. The feeling at the end was that: the Lord will manifest himself wonderfully at the next World Youth Day in Sydney. Only 32 days more!
