GERMANY, Claudia Resendia Rosa. On June 22nd I went to Herxheim, to become acquainted with yet another Shrine by participating in their 40th Anniversary. I was also participating in a pilgrimage from Mexico to Schoenstatt, this being my third visit to Schoenstatt, where I was staying some extra days. So, I took the opportunity to travel to Herxheim. On the way I asked the name of the Shrine and I knew why I had to go… This was my third visit to Schoenstatt: the first time was in 2000 with the Girls’ Youth, the second time was also with the Girls’ Youth in 2005, but then I was already a member of the Professional Branch as a helper, and now I came as a participant of a pilgrimage from Mexico. I am thirty-two years old, I live in Queretaro, and am the leader of the Professional Branch. I should say that the Shrine of Joy is what has impressed me the most during this pilgrimage. After knowing the Shrine of Joy, I knew that I should give this gift to my group in the Professional Branch, since currently we are studying Father Kentenich’s book, The Fount of Joy. I felt it was Father, himself, who has given me a mission of taking this grace back to my group and putting it into practice in my life, because sometimes I take life too seriously by leaving joy out until a problem is solved. However, the truth is that life is full of problems and challenges, so as Father Kentenich said, "joy is a grace that should be present in every circumstance." I trust that the MTA has given me this grace to visit her Shrine of Joy. I will be able to take that grace to my professionals’ group, and also in the same way, share this with my family and in my workplace. Thank you, Schoenstatt Family from Speyer, for offering all of us this source of joy! Translation: Celina Garza, Harlingen, TX, USA/amj |
