SCHOENSTATT, MKF. On Saturday, May 17, 2008, at 5:30 p.m. when the holy rosary will again be prayed in the Original Shrine, once again many people will unite spiritually from the Daughter Shrines, wayside shrines, and Homeshrines. United through the Covenant of Love, prayers will be said for the intentions of everyone who sent their petitions to the Original Shrine, as well as for everything that is taking place around the Original Shrine and the other Shrines around the world. This year, May 18th, Covenant Day, falls on the Solemnity of the Holy Trinity, a day when the central mystery of the faith and of Christian life is celebrated.

On May 17th, Schoenstatt will be celebrating! At 2:00 p.m. the priestly ordination of Deacon Hans-Martin Samietz, of the Schoenstatt Institute of Fathers will be celebrated in the Adoration Church. He is from Gotha, Diocese of Erfurt in eastern Germany.

On May 18th, the first large diocesan pilgrimage will arrive to Schoenstatt from Fulda. As every year, they will make a pilgrimage on foot from the Rhine through all the city of Vallendar to the Original Shrine. In the afternoon, there will be a spring concert in the square in front of the Pilgrims’ House.

Like each 18th, in the evening, the Schoenstatt family will celebrate the Covenant Mass, and walk in procession to the Original Shrine, to renew the Covenant of Love, united with the entire Schoenstatt Family.

Inés Petit invites everyone by saying,"If you can, please attend, and if not listen to the radio or through your heart allied with the Blessed Mother!"

May 17th & 18th are special days for Adolfo Chavez. On Sunday, May 18th, after the 11:00 a.m. Mass, the Blessed Mother of Schoenstatt will be enthroned in the Parish of Immaculate Conception in the city of Adolfo Chavez, Diocese of Bahia Blanca, Argentina. All the missionaries want to attend with their Pilgrim MTA's. Pilgrimage for peace in Burundi

On May 18th, a large pilgrimage for peace will be held again with the Third International Auxiliary of the Rosary Campaign, in Burundi, this time in Kamenge. "We hope that this will be the largest pilgrimage in the capital of Bujumbura", said Father Deogratias Maruhukiro. We expect many people and also politicians, some members of parliament, and ex-ministers. The police have asked that we also take the picture of the Blessed Mother. Some reporters will transmit the pilgrimage and the Mass; the Bishop’s vicar will celebrate the Mass. A private television channel will transmit the pilgrimage and the Mass. We truly need many prayers, much Capital of Grace so that everything will go well. We are going to have Adoration in the Shrine all day, to pray for this pilgrimage, we have a special prayer for this pilgrimage so that the Queen of Peace will give us peace. A short time ago, a war began once again between the FNL, and the military of the Government, now we hope that the two groups will meet again to seek a lasting solution!"

If all of us together accompany the Queen of peace…the miracle is possible!
