SCOTLAND, Fr: Michael Savage. Almost exactly a year ago the Cross of the Covenant, a Celtic cross which over looks the Scottish Shrine was removed for restoration. It was originally dedicated to Sr Xavara celebrating the 25th anniversary of her arrival in 1987 for all the work she did in founding Schoenstatt in Scotland. Sadly Sr Xavera herself died at the beginning of April just as the restoration work was being finished. On Sunday the 18th May the centre at Campsie glen celebrated the annual May day crowning of the MTA with a crown of flowers. Many Pilgrims and friends of Schoenstatt came along for the talks and services. It was decided to use the opportunity and the available muscle power to restore the cross in it's plinth. After the crowning the men carried the cross head high to the top of the hill where it again over looks the centre and welcomes all the visitors. All those present again prayed for the repose of S Xavera and thanked the MTA for all the graces the Schoenstatt Family in Scotland have received through her unstinting work and dedication.
