PARAGUAY, Ana María M. de Alvarenga. "More Martha, less Mary," said Lidia Almirón when she saw how the preparations for the beginning Conference for the Rosary Campaign was coming along: sweep the area for the Mass, put the chairs in place, arrange and decorate the John Pozzobon corner, prepare the table for the reception, and the sound equipment. Then asking the question: "Did you already visit the Shrine?" The shame-filled glances, a timid "no"… The missionaries were so busy preparing everything - and this was also prayer. The fact is pilgrims from different places were rapidly coming, first from the nearby neighborhoods, and then the Caaguazú missionaries. It was already time to pray the Holy Rosary, and no time for joining in the emotion of Brother Evelio Rojas’ arrival. Later, the Ytakyry missionaries arrived, and then, also ready to help, the conference lecturers, Mima andJuan Carlos Cardona, arrived. The Mother of God School teachers also did their share adorning of the Joao Pozzobon corner. Good-bye, come back soon! After the conference given by Brother Evelio, on the presence of the Father and Founder, they all felt they had a "Father" present in the Shrine who they could now go to and entrust their wishes and feelings. Mima and Juan Carlos gave their talks and testimonies, loaded with emotions and something that touched everyone very strongly: "Open your hearts for keeping these important phrases as missionaries." "To open your hearts to Mary with simplicity and with total giving." Father Rubén quickly touched upon the main point of the conference in his homily; where he called for perseverance, and especially for each person assuming their role and in so doing really transforming Paraguay. A very tender moment was when the children from Mother of God School went up to the altar and brought a big picture of the Pilgrim Mother to the altar. The Blessed Mother also received fifteen pilgrims’ hearts, when they sealed their Covenants of Love. After a very delicious lunch, everyone went to the workshops, and the moment arrived that must also be sad for the Blessed Mother to say, "Good-bye, come back soon, my heart belongs to you."
