PERU, Zoila Viteri. On January 20th the Schoenstatt Family from Trujillo had the joy of bidding farewell the Girls’ Youth who departed for their camp. Some young girls from Callao, Lima, and Sister Consuelo and a young girl from Chile attended. It was wonderful to see them grow in their attachment to the Blessed Mother and to go forth to share the celebration of the second milestone of Schoenstatt history –January 20th – at the Shrine. Father Reynhold Nann, a Schoenstatt Diocesan Priest, who is the adviser for the youth, presided the celebration. The girls literally "invaded" the Shrine which was decorated with many floral bouquets. On this day the Schoenstatt Family vibrated in the spirit of the Founding Father, who invites us to true freedom on this day, the freedom of children of God. And in holy pride these youth are willing to continue in the footsteps of so many youth, who since the founding of Schoenstatt almost 100 years ago, committed themselves to Schoenstatt.
