ARGENTINA, Alan Sosa. October 18th was the 10th Anniversary of the Missionary Apostles of Mary youth group, which was inspired by the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign and the ideals that are the legacy of Father Kentenich to forge firm, free, and apostolic personalities in the world, but with a gaze towards heaven. The youth are missionaries of the Campaign and are fully involved in the parish and the diocese. They aren’t ordinary youth because a new kind of Schoenstatt youth emerged in San Luis ten years ago. They’re Campaign youth with their spiritual formation rooted in the Movement, and they’re an integral part of the Parish Community and fully involved on the diocesan level. During these ten years, Father Kentenich and Joao Pozzobon have taught them to follow the Blessed Mother, giving themselves as instruments to her cause, guiding them to forge a Covenant instrumental spirituality of holiness in small things. So on October 18th, just like ten years ago, they renewed their Covenant with a loud shout of joy, proclaiming to all the youth the wonders of love that the good God has allowed them to experience. They celebrated with the blessing of a very luminous Youth Wayside Shrine, Mass, and a torch-lit procession. Youth WalkTwo days later on Saturday, October 20th, with the motto: As missionary disciples, we want to follow you, they participated in the 9th Marian Youth Walk to the Wayside Shrine of Our Lady of Schoenstatt, organized by the youth pastoral of the Diocese of San Luis. This youth pilgrimage was born out of the Schoenstatt Youth of the Campaign, and three years ago offered to the Diocesan Pastoral. The pilgrims departed from the Diocesan Marian Shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of the Throne, where the Diocesan Bishop, Monsignor Jorge Luis Lona, gave them the missionary sending forth and consecrated the youth from San Luis to the Blessed Mother of the Rosary. After nine kilometers of walking, they arrived at the Wayside Shrine located in the Juana Koslay area, where the Episcopal Delegate for the Youth, Fr. Ignacio Daminato, celebrated the Eucharist. After the Mass, the youth celebrated their festival by singing joyfully to the Blessed Mother. Translation: Celina Garza, Harlingen, TX, USA/amj
