BRAZIL, Alessandra de Paula Lourencon and Amanda Bertaci Brandao. On September 23, 2007, the Schoenstatt Movement from Louveira (Sao Paulo) crowned the Mother Thrice Admirable and Queen of Schoenstatt as Queen of Families. The Holy Mass for the crowning was celebrated in the parish of Our Lady, Mother of the People of God, in Louveira, presided by Diocesan Bishop Gil Antonio Mireira and concelebrated by the parish priest, Father Adilson Amadi.

As a spiritual preparation, all the families who receive the visit of the Pilgrim MTA in their homes, the missionaries, the Apostles of Mary and the Schoenstatt Girls’ Youth intensified their contributions to the Capital of Grace especially for this moment of great joy and emotion.

On the 23rd there was a procession from the Chapel of Saint Joseph to the Parish Church. The Auxiliary MTA was welcomed by the missionaries at the entrance of the church with a shower of rose petals. This is how the Holy Mass began.

Since September is the month of the Bible, one of the Apostles of Mary carried the sacred book surrounded by the flags of the Apostles, the Girls’ Youth, and that of the Schoenstatt Movement as guardians of the Word of God.

From a desert to an oasis

The special moment of crowning was expressed by the little girls of the Movement with a choreography. They preceded the Girls’ Youth, who carried the picture of the MTA that would be crowned, to the sound of the music "Only Hope", the soundtrack of the movie "A Love to Remember". The apostles continued the presentation with the music "From a Desert to an Oasis for the world which so lacking of love. In conclusion, the crown solemnly entered at the moment in which the Girls’ Youth sang the consecration song. While the verse: "..I belong to the Mother and She belongs to me, this is our Covenant of Love", the Blessed Mother was crowned in the midst of a shower of silver confetti and a battery of fireworks. At this moment each one of the 60 missionaries renewed the crowning of their Pilgrim MTA and their Covenant of Love.

The Blessed Mother is the greatest example of Love

The central message was love: "Even if you have the gift of prophecy and you know all the mysteries of science, even if you had all the faith, to the point of moving mountains, if you do not have love, you have nothing. Love is the way of life to which every human being, every Christian should aspire. It is love that transforms people that works miracles and that is the theme of the song "Only Hope". May love surge from our interior and may it, through Mary, be cultivated as the song says: "From a Desert to an Oasis". In the end, the Blessed Mother is the greatest example of love and She proves to us that the benefits of love compensate the sacrifice that it implies, so that love will irradiate through us.

The Schoenstatt Family of Louveira were honored with the presence at this event by the members of the Schoenstatt Movement from neighboring cities, the advisor of the Apostles and the Youth, Sister M. Cicera (from Atibaia), the Girls’ Youth from Braganca Paulista and the Diocesan Coordinators of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign from Jundiai.
