INTERNATIONAL, mkf. Let the children sing, let them lift their voices, Make the world to listen and join their chorus, Singing lifted high to reach the sun , Truth is revealed to everyone. Let the children living in peace or pain, Sing for silenced voices the glorious refrain…

This song by José Luis Perales came to the minds of many who accompanied children praying the rosary on October 18th at 9:00 a.m, and especially when one sees the photos that continue to come from all corners of the world… "Let the children praying, let them raise their voices, make the world to listen.. :" German kindergarten children, Polish, Bolivian, Slovaquian, American, and Spanish children prayed the rosary for peace on October 18th at 9:00 a.m. "Let the children living in peace or pain, pray for silenced voices the glorious refrain…"

The children from different Catholic schools in La Paz, Bolivia: Don Bosco, Max Paredes Public School, San Ignacio, La Salle, Horizons School, Saint Andrew’s, Ave Maria, and many others prayed "a rosary with the highest and without a veto…the voices of many children, united to many, many other children from the length and breadth of the planet, united in the clamor for peace and unity for everyone without exception, must have reached heaven," said Lizzie Loetz from Bolivia. The girls of Horizons School from Opus Dei in La Paz had made their own rosaries for the month of the rosary, and they were very happy when they found out that they could use them to unite with the children of the world for the journey of the 18th. Father Alejandro blessed all the rosaries, each had the creative touch of each girl. He explained to whom they were praying with such a beautiful prayer and how they should pray: "not like parrots," he told them. "Our Mother Mary loves it when we speak to her calmly, when we tell her about our things and our worries just like we do with our earthly mothers, and of course she likes it when we make time to pray it peacefully without distractions, and meditating on a part of the life of Jesus." The day of praying the rosary was joyful and many also participated in this corner of the world, where the children were very happy to participate in it and to "join forces for world unity and peace."

I sing so Mother will smile

They prayed during their vacations, at home, during an excursion, or they prayed in schools and kindergartens… The school children in President Franco City, Alto Paraná, Paraguay drew pictures with the rosary and the dove of peace. In a kindergarten in Oberkirch, Germany, Sister Ilsa prayed with the smallest children and in Lubeck, Germany ten children from Polish families prayed together. A group of children prayed in the radiant sun on the edge of the Frio River in Texas, west of San Antonio. In Valencia, Spain the rosary was prayed in church. "We distributed the material to fifty public and private schools, we believe that it was a great success," a couple said.

They prayed for peace in Iraq, in the Holy Land, in Pakistan, in Afghanistan, in the Congo, in Burundi...they prayed for a world at peace.

"I sing so that my mother will smile," says the song of José Luis Perales. I pray so that my mother will smile. Surely the Mother of all the children of God smiled.
