CHILE, jlr. The Bernhard family and Elisabeth Neiser, Superior Generals of the Schoenstatt Institute of Family, made an official visit through the Republic of Chile during the first part of October. During their stay they had the opportunity to meet with all the courses of this country and they also had a meeting with Cardinal Francisco Javier Errazuriz, Archbishop of Santiago, with whom they shared the experiences of Aparecida. Within the framework of this visit, they held a conference, on October 13th and 14th, with the Regional Superiors of the Southern Cone of Latin American families: Alberto and Teresina Gomig from Brazil, Eugenio and Maria Gloria Cornejo from Chile, and Joaquín and Marta Levini from Argentina along with Lucho and Pilar Jensen who are family assistants. During the meeting they evaluated the post-Chapter General. They also deepened the bonds of the community of leaders, and they analyzed the focus for the coming year. On Sunday, October 14th, they participated in the closing Mass of the Annual Conference of the Boys’ Youth from Chile, who made them vibrate with their traditional strength, a fruit of the Cenacle spirit that is born of the Shrine. The closing was held in the new Shrine of the Adoration Sisters from Bellavista where a group of Sisters sang several of the farewell songs. The Neiser family returned grateful and happy for the warm and familial welcome they received. Translation: Celina Garza, Harlingen, TX, USA, amj |
