USA, Ann Winzenburg. Archbishop of Milwaukee Timothy M. Dolan joined the Schoenstatt family on July 13th at the International Center in Waukesha to celebrate his 30th anniversary of ordination. The event had the feeling of a family get-together. "We wanted to have an informal gathering to show the present life of the Schoenstatt family, our growth, and our service to the diocese," said Fr. Gerald Langsch, Superior of the Schoenstatt Fathers. The evening began with mass and continued with a reception and celebration. Representatives from the various branches shared news of the movement during what was the first official gathering of the Bishop with the Schoenstatt community. Judy Harlow, Leader of the Mother’s League, said, "Archbishop Dolan, if you think we are joyful now, just wait until 2,014 when Schoenstatt turns 100!" The Archbishop had previously given masses with the Schoenstatt community; he presided at the reception of seven novices to the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary at St. William’s Church in Waukesha April 14th. |
