Singen wir in vielen Sprachen mit einer Stimme…

Cantando ad una voce...

Cantamos a una voz...

Let us sing with one voice...

Singen wir in vielen Sprachen mit einer Stimme…

Meine Seele preist die Größe des Herrn…

Meraviglie he fatto en mi...

Maravillas hizo en mi...

The Lord has done great things wiht me...

Meine Seele preist die Größe des Herrn…

ITALY, Calogero Tuzzolino/mkf. The Schoenstatt Family of Italy proudly presents their first CD of Schoenstatt songs in Italian! The title is Maria dell’ AlleanzaMary of the Covenant and the Schoenstatt Fathers produced it. There are twelve Marian Schoenstatt songs and another that was composed especially for this CD: Santa MariaHoly Mary.

The work was carried out entirely in Marineo, Sicily, in only three months –thanks to the Blessed Mother, who took care of everything. The reason being that they wanted this CD to be ready by September 9th in order to present it at the National Conference of the Italian Schoenstatt Family in Belmonte, at the Matri Ecclesiae Shrine.

All the work: logistics, organization, arrangements, interpreters, and singers for the music had been provided voluntarily and with much love as a gift for the Blessed Mother.

The lyrics and the music for the Schoenstatt songs are from different countries: Chile, Argentina, United States, Brazil, Paraguay, and Germany were sought with great enthusiasm and affection as they were translated into Italian. The objective was clear: we want to sing together with the entire Schoenstatt Family, we want to feel a part of this great Movement that sings the praises of Mary in different languages and with the same music of the heart.

We sing in different languages and with only one heart

There are traditional songs, such as the Hymn of the Family, which had to be included: All’Ombra del tua manto (Protect Us With Your Mantle), the most translated song of the entire Schoenstatt repertoire, the Hymn of the Pilgrim MTA (by Father Antonio Borges, Brazil), and Who is that Lady? also by the same composer. During the upcoming International Conferences, the Italian songs such as Maria dell’Alleanza (Mary of the Covenant by Juan Ignacio Pacheco), Mary, My Lady by José Marin, from Parguay, or Wonders by Paula Willumsen will be heard along with many others. It seems that with this CD, Italy will be one of those countries with more songs in their native language sharing with the Schoenstatt Family from other countries.

The musicians are Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign missionaries from Marineo, Sicily, along with the parish choir from Marineo, Regina Angelorum.

The CD comes with a pamphlet of the songs’ lyrics, photos of the Original Shrine and the Belmonte Shrine in Rome. And of course with the most international and most Italian of all of Schoenstatt: the MTA!

The CD will sell for 10 € (plus shipping) at the conference in Belmonte, or by ordering from Father Ludovico Tedeschi (pltedeschi@hotmail.com). It is also available now outside of Italy!
