ARGENTINA, Martha Liotti. Rocío Aymará was born last May 11th. She is a precious baby who weighed almost three kilos (about 6lbs.). Everything seemed to be going well until a few hours after birth when she began to have serious respiratory problems. Her grandmother, Beda, a faithful missionary of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign, remembered the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign for Babies and Children at Risk. She asked one of the missionaries to come to the clinic where Aymará was in intensive care. The little basket with a picture of the Blessed Mother was brought to her and she was consecrated to Mary’s Immaculate Heart. Rocío’s reaction was immediate, a few hours later her condition was no longer serious and everything around her seemed to be serene. Her parents and all her relatives were amazed by the baby’s surprising progress. A few days later she was released and her mother could once again hold her against her heart, like the Blessed Mother holds her Son, Jesus. "You know what? Rocio’s grandmother told the missionary, We have a surprise for you!" "We want the baby to be baptized at the New Tabor Wayside Shrine (the spiritual center for the modality of the Campaign for At Risk Babies and Children) A moment of graceFather Enrique Alfonso, who is in charge of the Child Jesus Church where the Wayside Shrine belongs, joyfully agreed to celebrate the Baptism there. Betty, a coordinator for the campaign in this community and a faithful missionary of the babies, prepared everything necessary with admirable effort so that it would be an unforgettable event for the first Baptism at the Wayside Shrine On June 9th, neither the winter cold, nor the early hour, hampered Rocio’s parents, her little sister, her godparents, grandparents, other relatives, and the rest of the family the Rosary Campaign, with the Diocesan Coordinators in the lead, from gathering. Everyone wanted to witness the "rebirth in the Spirit" of this little one, whose parents expressed their gratitude to the Blessed Mother by choosing Her "place of grace" a holy and blessed land for this happy day.
