SCHOENSTATT, mkf. News that awakens sadness and a chain of prayer especially for the community of the Schoenstatt Fathers: Father Paul Vautier, a Swiss, member of the General Council of the Institute of the Schoenstatt Fathers, in the morning hours of May 31st died at Mount Sion, Schoenstatt. On May 30th, during the Mass for the Sisters of Mary in the Mother House, Father Paul Vautier spoke to them with profound conviction about what the Schoenstatt Family would celebrate on the following day: another anniversary of the Third Milestone of Schoenstatt’s history, the 31st of May 1949, Father Kentenich’s "step over the threshold", the step that took him to offer all the living strength of Schoenstatt as service to the Church, an invitation, which was at the same time, extended to the Schoenstatt Family to actively and courageously assume their mission and set out to church and world. In the morning of this May 31st, the Feastday of the Visitation, the Blessed Mother came to seek him and to take him along with her close to her Son, the Triune God. The Schoenstatt Family extends its condolences to the entire community of the Schoenstatt Fathers. To send a letter of condolence, write to walter@schoenstatt-patres.de
