ARGENTINA, Pato Gago. During summer vacation, at the house of the Ladies of the Federation in Florencio Varela, an intensive summer course on Kentenich pedagogy was developed by the Joseph Kentenich Pedagogical Center. The course which was aimed primarily for teachers, took place with a small number of participants seeking in this way to promote greater spaces for dialog and personal attachments. Teachers from different educational institutions from all over the country attended the course. For many it was the first contact with Father Joseph Kentenich, with his thinking and spirituality. Excellent topics and presenters offered the participants knowledge and depth in Kentenich thinking. Fr. Guillermo Carmona developed a global vision of the pedagogy as well as the importance of self-education for all educators. Fr. Horacio Sosa referred to the topic of values in an era of profound crises. Also present was Martha G. de Iglesia who developed the topic on the stages of life and Noemi Carione expounded on the laws of organic growth according to the thinking of Father Kentenich as applied to institutions. An enormous wealth of knowledge and spiritual enrichmentTo end the conference, Dr. Gerardo Suárez touched on the topic of educational institutions offering models which favor his institutional organization and leadership. In addition to these intense moments of formation, in the evenings there were times for sharing, music, stories and laughter. What do they take from the course? This was one of the questions on the personal evaluation of the course. The answers confirm once again, the impact that this pedagogy has on those who discover it:
To be parents for manyThe final Mass in the Church of God the Father highlighted gratitude to God. The "throne of graces" which dominates the altarpiece of the Church speaks to us of a Father who in his goodness holds His Son and gives us His Spirit. It was a very meaningful symbol to discover the meaning of our educational mission: to be parents to many according to the example of Jesus and with the strength of the Most High. The emotion and the joy shared throughout the week turned into a warm and promising farewell. The summer pedagogical course is an alternative which enriches everyone…..participants, teachers and organizers. At the same time it is an extraordinary possibility to know and experience with greater depth the proposed pedagogy of Father Joseph Kentenich.
