BRASIL, Afonso Wosny Jr. Inspired by the motto "Through the daring of the Covenant, take up the mission ", 75 members of the Schoenstatt Boys’ Youth in the state of Paraná, accomplished their summer mission in the city of Barbosa Ferraz. They had a week filled with powerful experiences in the two communities where they organised and realised activities among the children, youth and adults of the city. These included the Rosary and Masses in the mother church, a procession with pictures of the MTA through the city, as well as other moments that were highlights during this mission.

The mission left from the Tabor Shrine in Londrina. A sending out Mass was celebrated together with the families of the youngsters who would take part in the missions, as well as friends and members of the Schoenstatt Family. At the end of the Mass, everyone processed to the Shrine where pictures of the Pilgrim Mother who would accompany each "double pilgrim" were given out. Upon handing out these pictures, the words of St. Vincent Pallotti, often repeated by our Founder, were echoed: "She is the great missionary" to which the young people replied, "She will work miracles". The directors of the Boys’ Youth who accompanied the boys celebrated Mass and the Shrine was filled by the many people who were present and also wanted to "send out" the younsters.

That God would bless this house and this family.

Beside the parish church of Our Lady of Graces, where the Masses and activites during the Mission Week took place, there is a large picture of Our Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen and Victress of Schoenstatt. Each of the daily Masses ended in front of this picture, where everyone then renewed their consecration and afterwards, they remained there, singing, talking and sharing the joy of seeing so many people gathered around the Mother of God. Many of the residents of Barbosa Ferraz receive the Pilgrim Mother and the young missionaries’ visit helped these people to know a bit more about the MTA picture, about the Shrine, about the founder of the Pilgrim Mother Campaign - João Pozzobon and in addition to this, the missionaries handed out the prayer for his canonization. But more important than this, was the opportunity for people to talk about their lives, their faith, its challenges and ultimately, the opportunity to pray together that God would bless this house and this family.

The Schoenstatt Boys’ Youth of Paraná came away from this mission with a thankful heart for all their experiences and the fruits of this mission, such as the youth missionary group that was formed in Barbosa Ferraz as well as the opportunity of having had a week, where they could also live the depth of enthusiasm, joy and the apostolic spirit that our MTA gives us in her shrine. There will be another mission in July!
