SCHOENSTATT, Birgit Maier. The Schoenstatt Youth presented the Institute of the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary at the Centre for Missions with a large cheque to the value of over 1000 Euros. The donation will be forwarded to the Santa Casa de Misericórdia Hospital in Londrina which the Schoensatt Sisters of Mary have taken up as a special cause. Anybody who phones Fr. Kentenich, will be phoning for a good cause.

Sr. Thereslitha Wehrle, the director of the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary Centre for Missions was happy and thankful upon receiving the cheque because she knows that many individual donations and a wonderful idea are behind this donation.

The "Kentenich-Telephone" was installed a year ago on the number (0049) 0900/181014 (*1,99€/Min on Deutsche Telekom landline). The Schoenstatt Youth aimed to bring Fr. Kentenich into a new context, given that it is possible to receive good advice from Fr. Kentenich at this number. The idea further includes the fact that the profits made from these telephonic conversations with Fr. Kentenich are given to a good cause.

Have you phoned Fr. Kentenich today?

Fr. Kentenich’s telephone line is clearly very hot and used enthusiastically, and for this reason, produced a sum of over 1000€. Proof of this is that many small contributions have resulted in such a worthy sum. The hospital in Brazil will use this money to buy equipment that will benefit its patients.

Help given through each call

At this point, a huge thank you goes out to each person who has telephoned. The inventors of the "Kentenich-Telephone" in the Schoenstatt Youth are delighted to hand over this donation in the name of all those who phoned and thereby, did something good. Any profits made from future calls to the "Kentenich-Telephone" will be donated to the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary Centre for Missions.
