Continuous and strong growth in daily visits:   2004 was the first time that more than one thousand visits per day were made, in august 2006 the visits surpassed 4.000, in November there were 6,000 visits

Die Zahl der Besucher pro Tag ist kontinuierlich und kräftig gestiegen: im Jahr 2004 wurde erstmals die Tausendermarke erreicht, im August 2006 waren es 4000 Besucher pro Tag, im November bereits 6000

SCHOENSTATT, mkf. It’s the end of the year, a time of evaluation and statistics, that in the case of schoenstatt.de are a sign of gratitude for the growth of registered visits, from every place in the world. It is a gratitude that is transformed into a commitment to continue offering the large International Family and to everyone who visit the web page – or that subscribe the bulletin, that is also growing more each day in the number of people who receive it – news from Schoenstatt and from all the countries, where life awakens so much life.

Even the Press Office, itself, is surprised at the growth of individual visits to schoenstatt.de that are marked on the graphs. While during the year 2002, two years after the official founding of the Press Office, some 100 daily visits were registered (each computer is counted each day although one computer might visit the web page several times), in November of 2006, 6,500 visits were counted…This is not about isolated peaks of growth – there is a continuous growth of visits: In August of this year there 109,053 visits per month, in September there were 123,734 visits, in October 161,156 , and in November there 168,227 visits. The average visitor enters an average of four to six articles per visit, and throughout a single day there are some 30,000 clicks on schoenstatt.de. Beyond numbers and graphs this signifies that day by day some 6,000 people enter into the virtual, but real contact with the stream of life and of graces that emerges from the Original Shrine and all the Shrines of the world. Oh, speaking about faith: day by day, some 6,000 people go on pilgrimage to the Shrine and enter into contact with the MTA, who gives them her graces…

By countries

Where do the visits originate? The statistic that the server (1 und1) offers is a list of ISP (Internet Service Provider) but it is impossible to identify more than half of the servers of the visitors and more than half of the remaining ones have a domain like dot com.net, info, org, edu, gov that can not be attributed to a country…,the results are not precise or indicative. Even so, would you like to know the ten countries with greatest number of "identified visitors"? Germany, Argentina and Chile top the list; among the 10 first countries that are also on the list: from Latin America: Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Paraguay, from Europe: Italy, Austria and Switzerland. It is also important to stress that among the countries with a high rate of visitors are: Japan, Poland and Thailand, and the Vatican, China and Sweden have more than 100 visits…In total, there 93 countries in the world that are listed. "Congratulations for this accomplishment, I believe that it is well deserved, since the level of the texts are excellent", says Javier Cabral, from Ciudad del Este, Paraguay, correspondent for that region. "Furthermore it is important and it makes one want to continue."

Behind Schoenstatt.de

From January to November of 2006 there were 1,873 articles published and 3,569 photos (not counting the photo albums, videos and audios), with the greatest number of photos in the month of May and the greatest number of articles in August.

Another statistic? The ten countries with the most published articles are Germany, Argentina, Paraguay, Brazil, Chile, Italy, USA, Switzerland, Burundi, and Mexico. But undoubtedly the greatest number of articles come Schoenstatt, the place of origin!!

Behind the contribution of schoenstatt.de there is an enormous group of collaborators who are happy and fully identified with the task. Along with the team from the Press Office in Schoenstatt – with Heinrich Brehm as webmaster and Sister M. Kornelia Fischer as the editor – there are 300 enthusiastic and committed correspondents who come from 34 countries, beside the volunteers whospend weeks or months working in the Press Office. In 2006 Antonella Cerini, Juliana Garmendia, Rosario Lara Marañon (Argentina) Francesca Signorini (Italy), Stefanie Frank (Germany), Amy Peebles (USA), Tomás Garzón de la Roza, the team of "English" translators composed by Carlos Cantu, Celina Garza and Mary Cole along with Christi Jentz, Barbara Brennan, Ruth Bruckbauer, Judy Harlowe and Sara-Leah Pimentel as correctors, the Portugues team of translators are Antonieta Maglhaes, Maria Miguel Viero da Rocha, Cassio AparecidoLeal Faria and Daniel Brustolon Ludwigh; the Spanish translators are Angie Santos, Marta Correa, Gabriela Kyling, Martin Lluis, Andrea Prestia, Cecilia Mata, Edgardo Trejo, Laura Ruiz Diaz, Gloria Castro, Sebastián Barrientos, Clara Bianco de Herbón and the Italian translator is Maria Tedeschi…(and other collaborators since the beginning whose support is fundamental for task is not only fundamental it is essential!!! Isn’t it?) Even so, many times we cannot keep up with the translations, so we take this opportunity to ask everyone who knows a language and has some time, to communicate with us at pressoffice@schoenstatt.de. We thank you in advance for this great service to the Family.

The collaborators come from practically all the Institutes, Federations, Family Branch of Schoenstatt, the Rosary Campaign and from the so called the "non- organized Schoenstatt". A small Schoenstatt Family: that is what is behind schoenstatt.de

…and something else

There are so many things that the Press Office does – motivated by the desire of serving communication without barriers for all the family: photo albums, videos, audios, pod casts, the web page Nothing without you with petitions for prayer, the "Schontatt Aktuell" magazine (in German) newsletters, press seminars and public relations, etc.

SCHOENSTATT.DE exists thanks to what each one shares of their life in the covenant. That life attracts 6,000 people daily, each one of which is consecrated daily to the Blessed Mother at the beginning of the work day in the Press Office
