BRAZIL, Alessandra de Paula Lourençon.  The Schoenstatt Movement of Louveira crowned the MTA as the Queen of Families in the community of the Our Lady Mother of Men parish.  It was a very special moment in which everybody participated in the celebration of the Eucharist, celebrated by the parish priest, Fr. Adilson Amadi.

Right from the beginning, the wealth of detail was Our Mother’s providential gift.  In the three months that preceded the event, many people worked hard, both in the material preparations as well as spiritually with many contributions to the Queen’s Capital of Grace.  Special mention must be made of Mary’s Apostles of Light and the Schoenstatt Girls’ Youth (JUFEM) who dedicated and exerted themselves completely to give the crown to Our Mother in the form of a simple gift.

They presented a choreographed sequence that preceded the actual Crowing.  The first song (Luz das nações (Light of the nations) – Angos de Resgate) sought to communicate the message of peace among nations:  "Queen of all nations goes on ahead of her children, Queen of all nations marches on ahead, heavenwards", the 18 flags that processed around the church demonstrated that the single ideal of unity among all nations promotes peace among them.  Then each of girl positioned herself with her flag to form a "guard of honour" to receive the princess who was carrying the crown.  In conclusion, the children of the Children’s Kingdom presented the song "Into your hands" (En tus manos) in Brazilian Sign Language and in amongst all this Our Mother was crowned under a shower of rose petals.

This moment symbolised everyone’s Covenant of Love with Our Mother, an unforgettable moment that will be etched into the heart of the entire Schoenstatt Family of Louveira.

Members of the Schoenstatt Movement in neighbouring towns were also present:  Sr. Franciane and Sr. Cicera from Atibaia, the Schoenstatt Boys’ Youth (JUMAS) of Atibaia and the Diocesan Co-ordinators of Junidiaí.
