ARGENTINA; Oscar and Ana Capezio. On September 3, 2006, the the Family of the Apostolic Movement of Schoenstatt and all the Catholic community of Ituzaingó celebrated in the 11th Anniversary of the blessing of the Mother Thrice Admirable of Schoenstatt Wayside Shrine located at Apipé and Pago Largo, Avenue. The children were especially invited: members of other Movements and parish groups participated along with the Schoenstatt Family.

We also carried out the good custom of spiritual preparation, a Novena which consisted of praying the Rosary of Dawn, at 6:00 a.m. in procession from the Wayside Shrine to the Parish of Saint John the Baptist, where Father Teófilo celebrated the Holy Mass daily at 6:30 a.m. was held from August 25th until September 2, 2006. The novena was completed in spite of rain, cold or good weather, and the sacrifice was worth it because on Sunday the 3rd, the anniversary date, the sun came out and it was calm enough to successfully celebrate Holy Mass outdoors.

Since the Mass was held during the time which is customarily held for the children, they were the special guests of the celebration that was presided by Father Teófilo, and the Boy Scout Troop of the parish enthusiastically participated, the members formed an honor guard for the priest when he passed blessing the people of God. All of the Schoenstatt Family was also present along with brethren from other movements and groups of the parish.

An embrace that was more than symbolic

During the time of thanksgiving after communion, the newest group of couples of the Family work was baptized and blessed, it was constituted in the year 2004, their name, chosen after many hours of deliberation, is meaningful, because of the willingness that the members demonstrate, the name of the group is "Here we are, Mary". After the general blessing all the Family and the community surrounded the Wayside Shrine holding hands in an embrace that was more than symbolic, as they renewed their Covenant of Love with Mary, praying the Consecration Prayer.

A very enriching anniversary

This anniversary of the Wayside Shrine was notably enriched with the presence of Sister Sofia, Advisor of the Schoenstatt communities of NEA, a member of the Institute of the Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary, who presently lives in Paraná. A fraternal lunch was shared with her and all the members of the Schoenstatt Family that belong to the different branches. Then, on Sunday afternoon, Sister held several personal interviews with those who needed her help or counsel, and finally she presented a workshop with a talk for the Family Work, which had many spiritual fruits. On Monday morning the personal interviews continued and there was a meeting with the leaders of the Girls’ Youth, to evaluate the results and to organize the next steps. The Rosary Campaign had its turn during the afternoon with a multitudinous meeting of missionaries, that were able to share their projects and questions with Sister. They also made important decisions related to the progress of the groups. Finally, Sister returned home after participating in the Holy Mass at 5:00 p.m.

"And we, the members of the Schoenstatt Family of Ituzaingó, had the sensation that we had accomplished the task that we had proposed very well; although, as always, now we have new and very demanding challenges related to the progress of our community in area of the parish and the diocese", shared Oscar and Ana Capezio, Diocesan Coordinators of the Movement.
