Behind the Shrine, one can see the power line that will allow to build a housekeeper’s house soon, and dream of the Diocesan Center

Hinter dem Heiligtum sieht man die Strommasten – endlich gibt es Strom und damit die Möglichkeit, hier zuerst ein Hausmeisterhaus zu bauen und dann irgendwann das Diözesanzentrum

ARGENTINA, Diana Zunini. On 12 March the Mother and Queen of the People presented us with a day full of blessings. The missionaries of the Rosary Campaign began the first Journey of prayer and reflection for the year of 2006 at 10:00 a.m. As instruments of Mary, they were searching for what the Lord wanted to say to them so they can work with "strength, confidence and courage" during this missionary year 2006.

Just as in every year, a group went to the small Schoenstatt chapel to begin the 1,000 Hail Marys in adoration of the Eucharistic Jesus. Another group reflected on the Covenant of Love.

During the year 2005 a novena was started that will continue throughout the year in preparation for the Schoenstatt Centennial that will celebrated in the 2014. The word Shrine (Santuario in Spanish, with just 9 letters) was chosen to be used as an acrostic: each letter will be the subject for the year.

In the strength of the Covenant

During the year 2005, the reflection was about the Shrine and this year the reflection will be about the Covenant of Love.

The words of Father Kentenich, which were pronounced in Paso May, in April 1952, were recalled: "with the light of faith, we should cross the powerful and wide wall of earthly things to see the good Father God behind everything. We have to transform ourselves into children of providence." Just as he taught it and lived it, practical faith in Divine Providence is an original characteristic of the Covenant of Love, and it is one of the pillars of Schoenstatt spirituality.

Some passages were also read about the life of John Pozzobon, who with the strength of the Covenant, as a "small donkey", lived the mission of offering the Blessed Mother opportunities so that she could manifest herself and carry the graces of the Shrine everywhere.

Then it was time to share their own Covenant experiences with the other members of the group: The Covenant as service, strength, confidence, commitment, forgiveness, joy, the giving of oneself heart to heart, home for the pilgrims, to be attentive listeners. There was the image of Mary as a lit candle that offers strength to face the difficulties of the day and we as her instruments, give to our brothers and sisters in return love, humility, and forgiveness.

During the general meeting the motto emerged which will accompany them during this year: "Strengthened in the Covenant, let us confidently walk in the mission".

A crown which represents Father’s footstep

The Journey ended with the holy Mass. During the offertory the Pilgrim MTAs were crowned with a small crown made from wood of the old floor of the chapel. This is of special value to the people from here, since the Founding Father had walked on that floor.

Convinced, as he said, that "the crowning is nothing more that a special form of the Covenant of Love with Mary, we firmly believe that she returns all that which we give her". They concluded saying: "Mother and Queen of our heart, just like your favorite son John, with this crown that we place on the Pilgrim MTA, we want to express our gratitude, our confidence in your power, and our willingness to be instruments in your hands, and to take you to our brothers and sisters in the great campaign of the holy rosary".

During the farewell, with great joy, they all express the desire of committing themselves firmly to someday be a crown of the great Queen of the world.
