USA, Sr. Ellen Marie. The former School Sister’s of Notre Dame residence has been fully remodeled and begins a new Mission for Our Mother and Queen. On November 18, Father Kentenich’s 120th birthday, an adoration house in Milwaukee, U.S.A., was blessed after its day of "open house" for the Schoenstatt Family, friends and acquaintances. In the church of Holy Cross, the Holy Mass was celebrated by two Schoenstatt Fathers (Fr. Deter Haas and Fr. Gerald Langsch) and two Pallottine Fathers (Fr. Leon Martin and Fr. Joe KoKoyickal.) Present at the Mass celebration were many members of the Schoenstatt Movement in the Milwaukee area, member participants of the adoration Eucharistic hours and Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary, and friends and acquaintances of Schoenstatt. After the solemn Holy Mass a silent procession was led to the Milwaukee Shrine. Four Sisters now fully free for the adorationIn the Shrine of Grace prayers were offered and a sanctuary light was lit which would then be brought to the adoration house. Then a cross-bearer led the Eucharistic procession of Our Lord from the Shrine to the adoration house and into the house chapel. The monstrance was set into the open tabernacle and the sanctuary lamp was placed into the holder. Here prayers were said while the priests went through the house giving each room its blessing. Returning to the house chapel Divine Praises were recited and the solemn blessing bestowed. Adoration continued in the open tabernacle for those who wished to participate in the first hour of adoration in the newly renovated house. Refreshments were offered in another location within the house. Much joy was expressed in this celebration of the opening of the adoration house and of our four adoration sisters who are now fully free for the adoration. It is anticipated that now from this Shrine many blessings and graces will flow to enrich our parishes, our church and the world. The gifts that proceed from this shrine will now have an even more secure vigil of praying hands to continuously draw from the rich treasury in the capital of grace. The many petitions that come to the adorers of this shrine will be remembered daily will continue to be brought in prayer to our Eucharist Lord. In the year of the Adoration Sisters’ 75th anniversary and after the Year of the Eucharist, this Adoration Center is a special Schoenstatt gift to the church and world so much in need of prayer. |
