WYD-TESTIMONY. The participation in World Youth Day in Cologne and the visit to Schoenstatt have been the most defining spiritual experiences of my life.

The encounter with His Holiness Benedict XVI and so many youth from all the world who arrived in Cologne with the desire to "Adore the Lord" and the youth’s gift of joy and hope to the universal Church, marked our hearts profoundly.

The four days in Schoenstatt Germany, the spiritual center of our Movement made thousands of Schoenstatt youth from the farthest points of the world, with the most diverse languages and customs, experience that change is only possible through love.

Just as the first Covenant of the year 1914

Just as in the first Covenant of the year 1914, Mary called each one of us by name and she wanted to seal a Covenant of Love with the youth of all the world through us. In the Covenant Mary gives us her heart, a new heart, a heart like the heart of her Son, and she teaches us how to see the world with her eyes. She needs us, she invites us to participate in her task and she accompanies us in building the Kingdom of the Father.

We know that the time is now, She our Mother, calls us. Society has forgotten God, it has expelled him from public issues, the world of work, politics, inter-personal relationships, from the family. Since God has been forgotten, everything becomes relative.

This is the tendency of our time, where things are measured not by whether they are good, but rather, it is measured by pleasure, comfort, success and power. Mary wanted to convert us into her allies so that we will take the Truth of her Son to the world.

Now it depends on us

There were many apostolic proposals, the dreams and the work of all these youth, who are so different in some ways, but intimately united in the universality of love of God and of Mary. The common bond among all of them was the transforming force, the desire of changing things and the conviction that if we anchor our hearts in God: preaching and living his love, a better world is possible.

Mary has already invited us, now it depends on us.

THANK YOU BLESSED MOTHER!
