ARGENTINA, CORRIENTES, Melba Lopez/mfk "We are surprised day by day with her graces and gifts", a comment from Corrientes, Argentina, referring to the work of the Blessed Mother in that place. Her visit to the Legislative Chamber and the Police Department in Corrientes was news that appeared in the local newspapers; the welcome she gave the new couples of the Family Work during the Mass on June 11th was news in the hearts…

The Mass of "Welcome" for the new couples that are part of the Schoenstatt Family Work was celebrated in the Monastery of the St. Clare Sisters, in a prayerful, warm and welcoming atmosphere. The monastery has stained glass windows of an intensive color, and has brick walls, that reminds one of the style of St. Clare and St. Francis, who were very close to nature. For the fifth consecutive year, since 2001, after three open Journeys for new couples, a Mass of Welcome is celebrated. During the years of 1995 to 2001, there were only two groups in the Family Work in Corrientes. With this method, eight groups have been formed in five years.

I come to you…

After communion, those in charge directed themselves to the new couples to give them a little letter of cordial welcome, telling them how proud they were to have them at their side, in the their prayers and in their Heart Shrines.

"But we want to welcome you as surely Mary, as the Mother and Queen of Families, expresses from the Pilgrim MTA, that has been traveling since 1993 to the most diverse places of our city, and surrounding areas…" said the speaker, and then a feminine voice was heard, representing the MTA:

My dear children… on my pilgrimage I continually receive the warmest demonstrations of the tenderness of the hearts of many families, and also not a few come to me in tribulation, confused and broken in their attachments…

I seek instruments who will bring those I find especially disposed…and I come to you through the most unpredictable circumstances. That is how I have looked for each one of you, from the Founder, Father Joseph Kentenich, who at the beginning of this crusade listened to my proposal:

"Prove to me with deeds that you really love me…"

My presence as Mary of Schoenstatt does not obey miraculous apparitions, nor special visions. Since 1914, I have demonstrated that I live in my SHRINES where each child of the Church responds with a serious desire to imitate Jesus, aspires for his self-education, and places his interests and misfortunes, joys and failures, successes and defeats, in my hands, all this forms a great abundance of GRACE. It is this sign of becoming my ALLY in my work in the world, it makes it possible for me to take possession of hearts, homes and in the most diverse places in different countries.

The Covenant of Love will be our work in common from now on… I have called you, I receive you with your doubts and imperfections, and also with your values and strengths. I place you in my arms with your projects and illusions, here close to my Son. I do so in a special year, the International Year of the Eucharist, that will be our seal and distinction.

Today the words of JESUS at the foot of the Cross, should resound in our souls:

"CHILD HERE IS YOUR MOTHER"…

These were moments of emotion and joining of attachments! Babies, grandparents, children, teens, and many families were present.

"May the Blessed Mother bless us and help us to become better persons"

The day before the Auxiliary Shrine had been in the Legislative Chambers. Josefina Meabe de Matho, president of the legislative body, the personnel, and some legislators participated in a religious ceremony with many person in attendance, who elevated different petitions to the Blessed Mother. During the celebration a special reference was made to Love. Jesus is Love. "Let us stop seeing ourselves as strangers since we all come from God. He created us and he thought about each one of us with love and for love. Before departing, Jesus said: "love one another as I have loved you", recalled Mirta Noemi Lencina, who coordinated the visit of the Pilgrim MTA of legislators.

At the conclusion of the encounter, Josefina Meabe de Matho shared her desire: "I hope that the Blessed Mother will bless everyone, that she will help us to become better persons, and that we will do our work in a much better way. Under the protection and gaze of God."

A single day worth centuries

Monday, June 13th, the Auxiliary Shrine of Our Lady of Schoenstatt also visited the Police Department of Corrientes, where she was received by the Police Personnel, led by the Deputy Chief of Police, Rodolfo Fernandez and the Assistant Deputy, Roque Romero, along with the General Directors, members of the State Directors of Police, heads of Departments, heads, of Divisions and heads of the Commissaries of the capital area. Cadets from the Police Academy " General Jose Francisco de San Martin" and the candidates of the School of Sub-officials "Sergeant Cabral" were also present.

The Chief of Police welcomed the Blessed Mother, followed by the Elder Chaplain of the Institution, who offered the religious ceremony. "It is important to mention that the Blessed Mother will remain only one day in the Hall of the Police Department…" reported the local newspaper…May no one be left out of experiencing her presence!
