PARAGUAY, Ana de Alvarenga. On May 8th, pilgrims from Caáguazú, in the Schoenstatt center in Ciudad del Este took many Pilgrim MTA`s back to their town. Soon afterwards, on June 18th, the first commissioning of the pilgrim MTA`s took place in Caáguazú. The shrine in Ciudad del Este wins more and more people from the surrounding towns and villages.

It was a celebration for the Sacred Heart of Mary parish in Caáguazú, about 150 kms (93 miles) away. The parish church was wonderfully decorated on this June 18th, covenant day, in which the faithful wanted to volunteer on this day to be from now on the arms and legs of the Blessed Mother, so that she could fulfil her mission. "My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord...," sang Fr. Luis, a devoted Marian priest, at the beginning of Mass. Afterwards, nine missionaries took the pilgrim MTA`s around, singing and praying to accompany the Auxiliary shrine to the house of Ilse de Ferreira who was the provider and driving force for the commission of the pilgrim MTA`s.

They obviously had it in a hurry

Warm, hearty cooperation in the circle of the missionaries allowed all present to forget the cold and rain on this gray Saturday morning.

Beaming faces were everywhere; how grace lit the souls! And the haste which all had to bring the Blessed Mother to others was striking – just as Mary went hurriedly over the mountains to visit Elizabeth, these new missionaries could hardly wait to set off with the pilgrim MTA!

If one spoke with them, one felt that they already saw the families before them who would receive the pilgrim MTA today to whom she would distribute gifts and graces by every visit...

She is the great missionary, she will work miracles – in Caáguazú!
