ARGENTINA, Silvia Losada. On the 27th of June, the anniversary of death of John, the missionaries of the Rosary Campaign consecrated themselves to pray the Holy Rosary. They did not send an article, but instead they sent the prayer of that day.
John! Twenty years ago you gave up your life on the way to the Shrine, as you would go every day.
Today we want to give life to this mission that was your dream and your struggle.
We are your children, your followers! We are united by the great love for the Blessed Mother and the Triune God.
John! During 35 years you traveled through your native Brazil, carrying Mary like a little donkey of Mary, as you liked to call yourself.
Instill in us, the missionaries, the desire to be other Johns, marching through many uncertain roads, with Jesus and Mary…!
Mother! Today we come to consecrate ourselves to pray the Holy Rosary, like your servant John Pozzobon. With Your Son, you welcomed us with a day of radiant sunshine, another gift of the kindness with which you shelter us and love us.
Receive our willingness and our desire to be heroes in our daily lives, messengers of hope for our brothers, and worthy evangelizers, taking you with Christ throughout all the world.
Beloved John! Your departure to eternity was not death, but a permanent reminder and example for our daily lives!
You would say: "THE ROSARY IS MY ALLY, THE BLESSED MOTHER IS MY COMPANION AND GUIDE AND THE EUCHARIST IS THE STRENGTH OF MY APOSTOLATE".
May we know how to imitate your great spirituality, to strengthen our mission.
John, wherever a missionary for the Rosary Campaign is found, you will always be present, because your struggle and your commitment will never be lost. Your motto was not in vain: "MARY IS MY LIGHT, SECURE WAY THAT LIBERATES AND TRANSFORMS".
