ECUADOR, pds. The diocese council of the Schoenstatt family of Quito and the Schoenstatt Fathers in Ecuador warmly invite the whole Schoenstatt family, physically or spiritually, to the dedication of the much yearned for shrine in Quito.
The invitation went to all areas of the world via internet and snail mail. The main celebrant of the dedication Mass of the shrine of the Mother Thrice Admirable, Queen and Victress of Schoenstatt, is Archbishop Raúl Vela Chiriboga of Quito.
The dedication is on Saturday, June 18, at 9.00 o'clock, local time; the shrine is near the cable railway in Quito in the Av. Occidental with the school San José de la Comuna. It is the third shrine of Ecuador and second in the diocese Quito; the first one is a kilometer (1/2 mile) beyond the town.
Already some have answered the invitation to spiritually unite with the Schoenstatt family on this Covenant Day, a day when grace flows anew from the place of grace, the shrine. In the shrine in Cologne - which has the mission of watching over the covenant with the God the Father - an Hail Mary was recited with the lighted candle rosary on Pentecost Saturday for rich blessings from this new shrine. And certainly this second shrine to be dedicated this year receives special graces flowing from both shrines which "frame" it temporally: in Obudavar, Hungary (previously on April 2nd) and in San Fernando, Chile (November 12th).
Through schoenstatt.de the wish of the Schoenstatt family of Quito goes to the whole world, as they express it in the words of Father Kentenich on the invitation: "It is good for us to be here. Let us build three tents here."
