INTERNATIONAL,MKF. Rarely has an article from schoenstatt.de awakened so many echoes as "Children of January 20th". I copied the message to incorporate it in the monthly events of the school", writes Susana Hernandez, principal of a school in Argentina. "it was a magnificient article; and as far as I am concerned I am far from being a "child of January 20th", although we make a daily effort, it is incomparable to the experience of the Founding Father", commented Angie Santos, of Houston, Texas, while Hildegard Fischer, of the professional branch in Germany, commented to one of her branch sisters: "At this time when I am working 50 hours per week I do not have much time to read, but someone sent me this article via email that left me in a state of astonishment and with a great desire to live each day anew my January 20th! January 20th, the second milestone of the history of Schoenstatt, was celebrated in many places, such as Mar del Plata and Miami, and today they share about their celebrations.

In the Shrine of Nuevas Playas in Mar del Plata, January 20th was also celebrated, relates Maria Cecilia Vilardebo. There was a liturgical celebration under the direction of Deacon Luis Hergo, of the Federation of Families, beginning at Father's Memorial with words that set the tone and then there was a song of repentence, then everyone went in procession to the Shrine.

There was a celebration of the Word and then Father Kentenich was remembered in what Schoenstatt calls the Second Milestone.

Then, in a simple but profound exercise of interior reflection, prepared by the youth, written questions were answered, with each one offering Father Kentenich what they were willing to offer in the conquest of their inner freedom.

The papers with the answers and offerings were desposited in a dish and later they were burned at the Father Memorial, where the participants ended the celebration carrying lighted candles as a symbol of their desire to inflame the world with the Founder's mission.

The afternoon came to a close around10:00 p.m., and the simple, intimate, heartfelt commemoration of January 20th ended with a pleasant and mild evening, thanks to the familial climate that we all felt.

May he give us youth who will someday consecrate themselve to God with vocations

" I ask that you place the intentions of this family who hopes to build a Shrine in South Florida, USA on Father's tomb or in the pyre if you burn the papers, asking that the Blessed Mother Queen of Unity gives us a generous heart to be able to accept the things that we cannot change; and to give us youth who will someday consecrecate themselves to God with vocations: be they priests, Sisters of Mary, or committed lay persons giving themselves entirely to Schoenstatt; that She accept our weaknesses and limitations so that with much capital of grace, we become transformed into flowers for our Queen...and for those of us who have sealed our Covenant may we understand the mission that we have as founders", writes Sara Ycas, leader of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign in Miami on January 20th. "Tomorrow the Shrine in Ecuador will celebrate its 33rd anniversary, and it is a great satisfaction for me since I am from Ecuador and I learned about Schoenstatt 33 years ago in this Shrine."

The Shrine of the Father in New Schoenstatt, Argentina and the Shrines of Quito, and Guayaquil, Ecuador, celebrated their anniversary on January 20.
