ARGENTINA, DANIEL AND MARIA TERESA MARTINO. "My sister waited all night in line in front of the school in order to enroll her daughter", Sister Maria Julia relates. " It is not necessary to tell me very much about the school, that says it all...One does not stand in line all night for just any school.: The school she is referring to is the Jose Manuel Estrada Institute, in City Bell, Argentina, one of several schools in Argentina where the pedagogy of Father Kentenich is applied. "They do fantastic work at that school", comments Celina Garza of Harlingen, Texas, USA, after translating the schoenstatt.de article about the pedalogical vision of the school, which is under the direction of a group of couples of the Schoenstatt Family Work. In the year 2005, they say, the great challenge is GROWTH, but not only educationally, but in the potential of the originality of the pedagogy of our school, returning to the source of Father Kentenich, looking for a new synthesis with the challenges of today."

They began the year in the retreat house of the Sisters of Mary, where the all the members of the pedagogical Council , (the directors of all the school, composed of 10 persons) met for a Journey of intenstive training under the direction of Father Guillermo Carmona, Director of the Schoenstatt Movement in Argentina and Director of the Father Kentenich Pedagogical Center, with headquarters in Buenos Aires.

The objective was to return to the sources and to consolidate this team of directors who already work as the motivational group of the school, as to the Kentenich inspiration.

Fundamental decisions: to concentrate on what makes this school different

The fundamental decisions that are taken concentrates on what makes this school different: the actual application of the Kentenich pedagogy, the teachers' identification with it and the application to the school and social life of today. This is how this team regains training and permament association, and diagrams a three year plan for the retraining of the teachers at all levels. They want to offer new material, to organize workshops, to facilitate the contribution of other members of the Pedagogical Center with specific abilities, to create encounters and courses.

"We deeply appreciate our Mother Thrice Admirable, for her closeness and maternal preoccupation in this initial encounter. We do not doubt that life is put into motion, and a cycle of dynamic and demanding teaching, charged with initiatives and surely many blessings awaits us." says Maria Teresa Martino, who with her husband, Daniel, are one of the founding couples of this school, and additionally they are the leaders of the Federation Families of Argentina. "We hope the Blessed Mother will give us instruments and real partners in order to advance ths work according to the Plan of the Good God."
