"Lo que importa, en definitiva, es la alegría que irradiaba la gente al verla a ELLA, la Santísima Virgen."

"What really matters, definitely, is the joy that the people irradiate having seen HER."

"Auf was es ankommt, wirklich, ist die Freude, die die Leute ausstrahlen, wenn sie SIE gesehen haben."

MEXICO/SCHOENSTATT, mkf. "Please pray for our Schoenstatt Sisters of Mary in Texas and Mexico.  It is with a heavy heart this evening that I inform you that two of our sisters stationed in Quéretaro, Quéretaro, México tragically lost their lives today, May 24th, in a traffic accident.  Also killed was a gentleman who worked for the sisters there.  I do not know his name.  As far as I know, the gentleman was transporting them either to the Texas border or to Texas itself.  Sr. M. Delia and Sr. M. Angela were on their way to their province house located at our Texas Schoenstatt Center in Rockport/Lamar, Texas. Sr. M. Delia was originally from Texas and Sr. M. Angela was originally from Mexico.  Please pray for our Sisters Family in Texas/México and for the individual families of these two wonderful sisters.  May they rest in peace." - this is how Carlos Cantú of La Feria, Texas, May 24, around midnight, informed the Schoenstatt family and beyond. The tragic car accident happened next to the city of San Luis Potosí, where in the middle of the desert, the Mother and Queen of Schoenstatt took residence on December 9, 2001, in the Shrine that has the name: "Marvels of Mary" . In the middle of the pain, the MTA shows her marvels through a strong response on part of the Schoenstatt family.

Sr. Delia and Sr. Angela Cintora worked at Querétaro, at the Shrine where the MTA, every day and especially on October 18, attracts thousands of pilgrims.

What matters, definitively, is the happiness that the people were radiating having seen HER

" We managed to re-open the bridge - destroyed a little time before with the torrential rains - sothat that people could come and even cars also", wrote Sr. Angela only a few days after the Feast of the Blessed Mother on October 18 and 19, 2003, in an article for schoenstatt.de: "What matters, definitively, is the happiness that the people were radiating having seen HER, the Blessed Mother. Already on the 18th, a group of 60 men greeted her with mariachi music, as three buses of pilgrims that came early to be the first ones in honoring her. October 18 and 19 were simply marvelous days. There was no rain, thanks to Her, I am sure. She worked! ' It is a matter of your work ', I said to her repeatedly during these days ". Now she as Sr. Delia share the bliss of of seeing HER face to face, forward with their mission for this people that loves the Blessed Mother so much.

On Wednesday morning, Father Mario Romero said the Holy Mass in the Original Shrine asking for the deceased, together with a group of pilgrims from Chile and Argentina - Family Movement, Mothers' Branch, Professionals, Sisters of Mary. " I met both Sisters", he said, "and I remained impressed of there work for Schoenstatt". He asked the Mother thrice Admirable that the sacrifice of their lives should bring abundant fruit, and give consolation and force to the Province of the two Sisters and to the whole community.

At night, in a pilgrimage to Metternich, a few pilgrims of Cordoba, Argentina, prayed at the tomb of Sister Emilie for the two sisters and their community, as for the family that lost their father in the accident.

A wave of prayer

The Federation of Families of Argentina forwarded the message reporting on the death of the two Sisters and asked for prayers; Fr. Gonzalo Castro, in a phone call from Chile, told that, on having found out about the news, spontaneously the Fathers s and seminarians offered hours of adoration at night.

"It is with a great deep feeling of the loss of Sister Angela and Sister Delia that we want you all to know that our prayers are with you, with their families and the family of the driver who also lost his life", wrote Martha Selaya from Miami, Florida, USA. "Today many of our Schoenstatt ladies met at the site of the future South Florida Shrine of our Mater and prayed for Sr. Angela y Sr. Delia and for the driver and their families.

We should remember to include daily in our prayers for a special guardian angel to be with all of you as well as with the fathers at all times in your travels to bring Schoenstatt to every group in any City, in any town."

"Let's raise our prayers to the Eternal Father and to our Mother and Queen, especially for their families in order that soon they find rest and peace, so much they need in this difficult moment of their lives. Here in New Laredo, next May 31 there will be, simultaneously, two Thousand Hail Mary meetings, one at the wayside shrine and another one in the parish of St Martin of Porres, which will be offered in a special way in this intention. On having finished the Thousand Hail Mary, a Holy Mass will be celebrated at the wayside shrine", wrote Rossy Rada..

Julieta Escobar: "Our sympathy for the death of our dear Sisters M. Delia and M. Angela. It is a very big pain, but it is necessary to accept God's plan. I had the fortune and the happiness of receiving them in my house two years ago, for the blessing of our Home Shrine, an unforgettable day, the presence of them meant very much to me. Surely our dear MTA, and our Father and Founder, will have received them in heaven from where they will continue blessing us".

God's mysteries

" From Mexico, with the pain that embraces the whole local Schoenstatt family with the recent current events, I request a prayer from the Original Shrine for the eternal rest of Sisters Delia and Angela ", wrote Claudia Resendiz, of Mexico. " I know that you, as a community, are very close and therefore I offer my sincere sympathy to you and to the whole Community of the Sisters of Mary. I write this because it has always been difficult for me to understand the events of this style, I know that God acts in a mysterious way to make a reality his divine plan, and that with my limited human understanding I will never come to a pinch of comprehension, but I believe sincerely in the Divine Grace, where God expresses his love for us, the human beings, permitting to understand. I ask him and our Blessed Mother to help the whole family of Schoenstatt in Mexico for the game of these two Sisters who were giving the life for serving Jesus the best way and that I consider have achieved it. I would be grateful if it could leave this small request in the tomb of our Father, with all my love and respect for him who already received in the eternal Glory our examples of life: Sister Delia and Sister Angela ".

The Sisters of the Province of Texas and Mexico, together with the whole Sisters' community, are grateful to all for their prayers and their solidarity in these days.
