Filling the jars with love for the ChurchAnnual Meeting of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign Texas State Team |
USA, Olga & Victor Alegria. The Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign Texas State Team gathered at the Confidentia Shrine in Lamar for its 12th annual meeting. Central themes were the preparation of John Pozzobon's 100th birthday, and the participation in the blessing of the Rome Shrine. Father Esteban Uriburu, now deceased, played a crucial role in the early development and formation of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign Texas State Team, a team of leaders. Father Esteban motivated, inspired and encouraged our State Team at every gathering. He brought us much insight and guidance. He repeatedly spoke about the importance of remaining loyal to the origins of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign and to its early beginnings. He consistently stressed the importance of working with the same spirit and love for the Blessed Mother that John Pozzobon had. He spoke about the holiness of John Pozzobon and how he is a channel of grace for all of us. The Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign - taking part in the life stream of the dedication of the Matri Ecclesiae ShrineThey began the workshop with an introduction by Victor Alegria recalling Father Esteban’s guidance concerning the importance of forming a "network of leaders". "A good leader is someone with a clear vision and spirit of the Campaign, someone fully committed to this mission and people that work together; teamwork!" Father Esteban also called to their attention the significance of encouraging pilgrimages and gatherings at the Confidentia Shrine in Lamar. As Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign, they wanted to take part in the life stream of the dedication of the Matri Ecclesiae Shrine in Rome. Inspired by the Letter of the General Presidium, they will be striving to "fill the jars" with contributions to the capital of grace. Each Area Director was given a jar to take back to their respective city to share with their Coordinators and with all who participate in the Rosary Campaign. "Father’s Family Go Forth into the Church"Fr. Hector Vega conveyed some important points about Fr. Kentenich’s talk on December 8, 1965. Sr. Corelia Bechold followed with a short presentation on the "qualities of a good leader". Next, they planned the Coordinator’s Workshop, which is held at the Confidentia Shrine in Lamar. Coordinators come from across the state of Texas to learn more about the Rosary Campaign. They proceeded with planning a great celebration in November to commemorate John Pozzobons’s 100th birthday. The climax of the weekend was Holy Mass with a coronation held in the Confidentia Shrine in which they crowned the Auxiliary Shrines. This year they crowned our Blessed Mother under the title of "Queen and Mother of the Church". The motto for the year is Father’s Family Go Forth into the Church! They want to continue to carry on the work that the Blessed Mother has entrusted to them. As Father’s Family, let us go forth into the Church through "The Great Visitation" of the Mother and Queen. |
