The Schoenstatt family of Trujillo is preparing for the collocation of the statues of St. Peter, St. Paul, and St. Archangel Michael, in the Shrine.
The statues were crafted by a young artist from Trujillo, and will be solemnly "enthroned" an March 23. Fr. José Antonio Bohuytron S: "We ask the international family to join this celebration, so significant for our Shrine, and remember us in prayer and with contributions to the Capital of Grace. The Holy Mass during which the statues will be offered, will be celebrated by the Archbishop of Trujillo, Héctor Miguel Cabrejos Vidarte.
The collocation of these statues has been a dream and wish of the Schoenstatt family of Trujillo, since the Shrine was dedicated two years ago. We collected photos, sketches, slides of the statues, and "armed" will all that, entrusted the work to an artist here in Trujillo who crafted the statues.
The Schoenstatt family of Trujillo is intensively preparing for the great event; on March 19, 20, and 21, they'll have a special triduum, asking St. Peter, St. Paul, and St. Michael for their powerful intercession in all their projects and initiatives regarding the growth of Schoenstatt in Triujillo, and Peru - with no Schoenstatt Father or Sister assisting the Schoenstatt family -, and for the due construction works.
You see the posters, published by the diocese of Trier, everywhere in Schoenstatt: on a dark background the fingers of a man, holding a white rosary. A beam of light reflects in one of the beads.
"Prayer of the Rosary with Bishop Reinhard" is the simple title of the poster. Like in Schoenstatt, these posters announce in the parishes of the entire diocese that Bishop Reinhard Marx of Trier will pray the rosary at four places of pilgrimage of the diocese, on four Marian feastdays in the course of the year, beginning each time at 7:00 PM so that also Professionals can participate.
The rosary pilgrimage begins in Schoenstatt. The Bishop will pray the rosary in the Pilgrims' Church.
Before (or afterwards, still pending) he will visit the Original Shrine. A big rosary that the bishop will be asked to use for the prayer in Schoenstatt, will be collocated in the Original Shrine in order to remind all of the Year of the Rosary. With the Bishop's visit to Schoenstatt, the daily prayer of the rosary in the Original Shrine will start, each day at 7:30 PM. The Pallottines, parish groups, and Schoenstatt communities will take turn in leading the prayer. Pilgrimages can participate and also volunteer to lead the prayer.
