SCHOENSTATT, Stephanie Sauter, Johannes Kaut, Sr. Maribirga Overhaus. In the Sonnenau and no action? That isn’t possible. A reporter can always find victims for interviews…

Sister Annette is the leader of the girls’ youth movement of Germany. So you can meet her very often at the Sonnenau. She coordinates meetings, seminars and conventions taking place there; e.g., this weekend she has to manage a meeting for group leaders and a convention for women from the US.

Dorothea Ludwig (17) from Geilenkirchen, Germany, is participating in a national meeting for female group leaders. She and the other participants are learning how they could bring the love of God to their girls. They have many discussions and lectures about this issue.

Even praying is learned there

Michelle Johnson from the USA has a husband in Ramstein in the military. At the moment she and her friends are spending their time at Schoenstatt in the Sonnenau. There she is learning to give the Lord more time and to live with him. Michelle is very happy to be in Schoenstatt. She will surely come back to this place, perhaps with her family.

Christel Kegler (17) from Paraguay has already lived for seven months at Schoenstatt. She wants to know the place of Schoenstatt’s foundation. She is learning German at the school of Mary and she is using the time to discover Germany and its people. Till now she has been in Berlin and Munich. Later she is going to do a tour through Europe. She says that Schoenstatt is a nice place and there she has met a lot of interesting people. Also, says Christel, the Sisters of Mary are very pleasant.

Two weeks becomes nine years …

Jusina Backes from Poland wanted to stay only for two weeks at Schoenstatt. Now she has been there for nine years. For two years she has worked in the Sonnenau and she is well known for being in charge of guest reservations.

Carolina Correa (23) from Argentina is doing an internship at a chemical factory near Dusseldorf at the moment. Her family is very active in the Schoenstatt Movement. Carolina is a member of the girls’ youth in Argentina. The Argentinian people want to hear and to see a lot about Schoenstatt. So she often has to given an accounting of her stay here in Germany.
