(Sr. Teresa, Waukesha) On Sunday, February 25, 2001, a Lenten Afternoon for Families took place at the International Schoenstatt Center in Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA. Families came to share and learn about the upcoming Season of Lent.
The families talked about the Schoenstatt Heroes, they played
games, and made crafts.
A special experience for all was to pray the Stations of the Cross
as a family. parents and children joined in making different
Lenten symbols out of bread. The various activities helped the families
to grow deeper into the meaning of Lent, and to develop family customs
for this season and the preparation for Easter. It was a very
nice experience from which parents and children went back home filled
with a genuine spirit to strive in the special season of Lent in the
Schoenstatt way.
