Peru: CANAPIU - National Camp for the Schoenstatt Boys' Youth

Canapiu is the acronym for Camapmento Nacional de Pioneros y Universitarios, National Camp of pioneers (high school boys) and university students, and it is a dream come true for the Peruvian Schoenstatt Boys' Youth. It is a challenge to excel, pick up the heritage of the first Peruvian Schoenstatt Boys, and draw many other boys who do not yet know Schoenstatt to this camp (the second ever held in Peru) and thus to the Shrine and the Covenant of Love. The boys from Peru entrusted the camp to the Mother Thrice Admirable, whom they love to call the "Queen of the first pilgrimage of the Peruvian Boys' Youth to the first Peruvian Shrine" - the one in Trujillo, dedicated on December 8, 2001.

Germany: Feast of the Ecclesial Movements of the Northern German dioceses in Münster

On March 11, the city hall in Münster-Hiltrup will host members of all of the Ecclesial Movements in the Northern German dioceses – a meeting following the encounter of Ecclesial Movements in Speyer in 1999 and several similar encounters in the dioceses. The objective of the feast is getting to know each other's charisma, mission, and projects, and to share experiences. For this occasion, a web site has been created with links to the web sites of all of the Ecclesial Movements in Germany (www.geistliche-gemeinschaften.de). A team of Schoenstatt members is involved in the preparations for the feast; also, a stand will be set up for distribution of Schoenstatt materials.

Salvador, Bahia, Brazil: Dedication of the Shrine "Tabor Matris Salvadoris"

On March 25, 2001, the first new Schoenstatt Shrine of the Third Millennium will be dedicated in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. The festive dedication will be preceded by three days of intensive preparation. On March 22, the guardians of the Shrine will make their commitment. On March 23, the spiritual conquering of the Shrine will be presented to the Blessed Mother, and on March 24 all are invited to join in a Marian celebration by the new Shrine. On March 25, Auxiliary Bishop Dom Valmor Azevedo will preside over the solemn dedication of the new Shrine, the "Tabor Matris Salvadoris," Tabor of the Mother of the Redeemer. The cornerstone of the Shrine, radiating Christmas flair with a picture depicting the nativity scene, reflects the mission of the Shrine, a gift in gratitude for 2,000 years of the birth of Christ. The picture on the other side of cornerstone shows a ship – symbol for 500 years of the evangelization of Brazil. The program on the day of the dedication will continue in the afternoon with a mission show by Father Antonio Borges, and benediction.
