GERMANY/ ORIGINAL SHRINE, Roberto Gonzalez • During the last weekend of May, close to 250 families with their respective children from all Branches of Germany met in Schoenstatt to celebrate the Festival of Families with the motto: “We all win.”— For me because of how the festival was presented around the Original Shrine, it was a gathering that was out of the ordinary, of course from being an outside observer. For me because of how the festival was presented around the Original Shrine, it was a gathering that was outRead More
GERMANY, Fr Adolf Schöls • “Weilst a Herz host” – for all who can’t read the Bavarian dialect this means: Because you have a heart. It was the motto for this year’s shrine festival of the Schoenstatt Movement in the Diocese of Regensburg on the last Sunday in May. The outward conditions were excellent and the Schoenstatt Centre in Nittenau with its beautiful grounds added to the festive atmosphere.— The shrine festival 2018 began at 11.30 a.m. with Holy Mass supported by the Schoenstatt Youth with their attractive, rhythmical songs.Read More

Maria Fischer • The small home printer could not keep up with all the many emails that came in the last week of Advent– let us remember that schoenstatt.org has no headquarters or office. So on 18, 19, 20 of December, a partial delivery of all these letters sent to the MTA in the Original Shrine was made filling the jar to the brim They came especially from Latin America – Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Paraguay, Puerto Rico, Ecuador, México, and Panamá – but also from the United States, Spain,Read More
EUROPE, Pilar Bacigalupo, Corina Blankenberg • At the end of August, a pedagogical seminar for educators took place at House Marienau in Schoenstatt.  The participants felt very well taken care of, and in the weeks since, have amassed the fruits of their labor from those days and put them together. Discover the pedagogy of Father Kentenich and spread it. Present the different facets of his pedagogy in such a way that they can be effective not only to accompany one spiritually, but also to be used in schools, in businessRead More
Maria Fischer • At the end of September Fr Dr Michael Joh. Marmann celebrated his eightieth birthday in Schoenstatt with many who had accompanied him on his path through life – as a Schoenstatt Father, as Leader of the Schoenstatt Movement in Germany when it entered into the covenant of love for our people, as well as the year when we commemorated Fr Kentenich’s hundredth birthday. He saw the re-unification of Germany (“God acts in our history”), and was Superior General of the Institute of the Schoenstatt Fathers and ChairmanRead More
GERMANY, Gisela Sonka, Rita Löhr, Hna. Cordula-Maria Leidig • With little candles in their hands and trembling knees, some Wiesbaden Schoenstatters went to the weekly market in Wiesbaden-Biebrich; they invited passersby to light these candles for a loved one, and that they would also do it at St. Marien Church, where Eucharistic Adoration was taking place at that time. Many entered…it all began with quiet moments of Eucharistic Adoration in the shrine and during the “Sunday coffee.” Sunday coffee Since 1 September 2016, an hour of Eucharistic Adoration four timesRead More
ORIGINAL SHRINE, Roberto González • In Schoenstatt, we are accustomed to carrying things out differently, that is, we pursue “living organically” like our Father and Founder, Fr. Joseph Kentenich, wanted so much, and on this occasion, uniting young people gathering with the religious was no exception. This ideal was realized the weekend of 1- 3 September 2017, through the “Night of the Shrine”, where more than 500 youths from Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Latin America, and other countries met to experience a different time and recharge their batteries before returning toRead More
GERMANY, Dorothee Alberty • On 3-4 September 2017 fifty years had passed since Fr Kentenich visited the Centre of the Schoenstatt Movement in the Archdiocese of Freiburg, Germany. It is called “Marienfried” and is situated in the little town of Oberkirch at the entrance to the Rench Valley. The motivation for this visit was because the Schoenstatt Family in the Archdiocese of Freiburg had developed its diocesan ideal. It has spent the past year preparing for this jubilee and is celebrating it in many ways: with a vigil for theRead More
