Original Shrine, Sr. M. Ivone •
A small group of Italians have made a pilgrimage from Rome to Schoenstatt. The majority of them crossed the threshold of the Original Shrine for the first time to experience the graces of this holy place. There were eight from Tuscany and eight from Rome.
These have been three wonderful days filled with the joy of being able to feel and experience the presence of the Mother and Queen and the Father and Founder, and the appreciation of the delightful welcome and hospitality that accompanied us every moment.
A young lady made the Covenant of Love with the Mother of Schoenstatt on 18 August in the Original Shrine; it was a time of special grace for everyone.
The group stayed at House Marienau. They were surprised and delighted to discover a small bookstore set up there and among the books was the booklet of Pope Francis’ Message to the Schoenstatt Movement – in Italian. After the group left, Rector, Fr. Egon M. Zillekens discovered that all fifteen copies had been sold!
On behalf of the Pilgrim Mother group, they thank you and take with them the great desire of being able to return for a lengthier visit to learn and appreciate all the more this place of grace.
