They were also making sure that what was communicated after Conference 2014 was truly a reality. Everyone, truly everyone, is invited to the Original Shrine on October 18, 2014, to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Covenant of Love that has changed the lives of millions of people from all continents.
Upon their return to Tucumán after the Federation Congress, a time of many graces and joy in Schoenstatt along with their entire Course, the Amarals, who belong to the 19th Course of the Family Federation from Argentina, found the perfect gift: DVD 2014! “One for ourCourse, for the Fathers, for the Family Branch, for the Campaign, for the Boys’ Youth, the Girls’ Youth…” They ended up taking ten videos. “It is so important for the entire family to have it, to inflame everyone with the Centennial fire!”
An older couple of the Family Work from Germany sees the video with growing emotion, and right at the end, they repeat one of the testimonies on the video: “This is the Schoenstatt with which we fell in love sixty years ago…” And they add: “We do not know if we will be alive to experience 2014, but now we know that Schoenstatt will continue to walk through time fulfilling its mission. If we had seen just one minute of this video fifty years ago, when we were struggling for Schoenstatt during the years of exile, it would have given us so much encouragement! Everything that we offered was worthwhile!”
Walking together towards the centennial of the Covenant of Love
At this time, the video is available in Spanish, German, and English – it has been on sale since the middle of August. It was produced between April and July of this year with the fruitful collaboration of the team leaders of Conference 2014, schoenstatt-tv, and the schoenstatt.de team. It was produced to complement the documents of Conference 2014, and the documentation that is available in the media library of schoenstatt-tv. The objective of the video is to transmit the life that surged in and from Conference 2014, and to invite the Schoenstatt Family to join the large stream of graces walking together towards the centennial of the Covenant of Love.
Welcome to the date for all the Family on October 18, 2014 at the Original Shrine!
In addition, it is an invitation to all people and nations to prepare for this large pilgrimage to the Original Shrine on October 18, 2014, and then to Rome, to present the apostolic projects, the fruits of the Covenant of Love to the Church. It also demonstrates that Schoenstatt will celebrate October 18, 2014.On October 18, 2014 at the Original Shrine the sacramental character of the time and place will coincide. That is the reason we will internationally celebrate there, together, and simultaneously united with all the Shrines around the globe. Afterwards, we will go on a pilgrimage to Rome, where we will present the Church an apostolic project from each Shrine as a symbolic expression of the fruitfulness of the Covenant of Love: the source of a Covenant culture. As a missionary family, we will ask the Holy Father to send us forth into our apostolic fields.
Of course, October 18, 2014 can also be celebrated in July, just as Christmas can be celebrated during the month of March, or a friendly soccer game instead of the World Cup can be attended. Everyone is welcome on the date for the whole Family on October 18, 2014 at the Original Shrine.
