The torch arrived

INTERNATIONAL, mda. What joy!  The torch for Mary’s Crusade, which was stranded at customs, arrived today!  Rarely has a tweet of Schoenstatt.org (@schoenstattorg) been disseminated as quickly as this, the afternoon of January 13, a few minutes away after receiving the email from Father Jose Maria Iturerria of Mendoza, Argentina:  “I want to transmit the good news! The Torch has come up to Mendoza! We don’t know how… but it’s here! So we thank you for the prayers and to the Blessed Mother for this small miracle! We continue in Covenant Solidarity! ”

Remember: Sunday the news was published with an invitation to all to be part of the “Living Shrine” of the jubilee chapel in the Andes, to be built on January 24th by 150 youths, who on Thursday January 16th, will go on the 2014 Mary’s Crusade.

One of the great petitions that accompanied this invitation was for the “freedom” of the torch that was stranded in customs – this torch represents the youths from Europe, who will depart  to Fackellauf, in October, for the race of torches that unites Pompei, Italy and Schoenstatt.

Covenant Solidarity- real

“I knew it! For God and the MTA there is nothing impossible!!! ”, exclaimed Tita Andras, of Vienna, Austria. She and many of those who from Sunday sent their contributions – “gratitude and repentance, surrender and longing” – for the wayside shrine, offerings and prayers also for the arrival of the torch – on time.

In less than 24 hours, contributions in covenant solidarity came from Poland, South Africa, Germany, Austria, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Costa Rica, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Portugal, and Spain. There is still time to be a part and to live a real and concrete covenant solidarity, be it in daily work or at the height of 4.000 of height.
