On 9 June 2021, two boys who were part of the Casa Madre de Tupãrenda program, Fabián and Braian, received the sacraments of baptism, first communion and confirmation. They chose Lourdes (Skills teacher) and Rosi (Baking teacher) as their godmothers. —
There is no perfect time to join and be part of God’s flock.
Baptism is a person’s new beginning. Fabián and Braian made the decision to take this step to change their lives by also sealing their commitment to Jesus. They decided to be baptized. They decided to be born again.
They wanted to be reborn before graduating
Of their own initiative, they both approached teacher Rossana and commented that they would soon be graduating from CMT and wanted to be baptized before their graduation. CMT celebrated and the preparations began.
Both Fabián and Braian took catechism classes with Oscar Sugastti to prepare their hearts to receive the sacrament in the best way possible.
Two young Christians
On the afternoon of 9 June, the day became gray and some raindrops fell in celebration of the two participants. Everything was already prepared in the marquee, in the shadow of the Tupãrenda Shrine. Family members arrived to share this very important moment, which was triply blessed because they received the sacraments of baptism, first communion and confirmation from Fr. Pedro Kühlcke.
We witnessed this rebirth, with family members, the other participants of Casa Madre de Tupãrenda, the teachers and director, who all gathered to celebrate this big step that Fabián and Braian took to further polish their hearts of gold with God’s blessings.
Three young Christians. Three of our brothers. Three brothers of the Lord, loved unconditionally. Three of our brothers baptized in the shadow of the shrine. Let us welcome them, embracing them with our hearts, our contributions to the capital of grace and by sharing their stories.
We cannot break bread on Sunday if our hearts are closed to our brothers and sisters. We cannot partake of that Bread if we do not give bread to the hungry. We cannot share that Bread unless we share the sufferings of our brothers and sisters in need.
