Nueve de Julio’s Madrugadores: Where no one questions anyone

ARGENTINA, Carlos Cappelletti •

In the measure that the group of Madrugadores in Nueve de Julio, Argentina, which was founded in 2014, grew our illusion increased. With complete confidence, the Blessed Mother showed us the way. We began to focus on inviting those men, who had left the sacraments under different circumstances.

In many cases, it was about broken marriages; in the group, they found a place to belong, a space where no one asks anyone questions.

We are fortunate to have three people from another religion (the older brothers), who have integrated without problems. One of them is already in the process of conversion.

Everyone has a place in the Madrugadores’ group, without any distinction. The city mayor, the commissioner, the police chief, a street sweeper, a 94 year-old man, a young man who just turned 15… All are welcome, and they share prayers to the Blessed Mother with the same faith.

A Madrugadores, who is also the Bishop of Nueve de Julio, Ariel Torrado Mosconi

We had the immense joy of welcoming our diocesan bishop, Bishop Ariel Torrado Mosconi, to our prayer daybreaks. When we finished praying the Holy Rosary, he gave us some words of encouragement and hope, urging us to continue on the road of faith. Every time his obligations permit, he accompanies us, and his presence stimulates and reaffirms our commitment to continue adding men to this time of prayer.

At Nueve de Julio in August

In 2015, the Vi National Gathering of Madrugadores was held in the city of Mendoza and fifteen members of our community went to participate, making contact with Madrugadores from different provinces, but all trying to live under the Blessed Mother’s protection.

In 2016, we participated in the VII National Gathering in Tucumán, and we went there with the dream and renewed hope of recharging our batteries and sharing experiences. We were fortunate to attend in tandem with the Gathering of the Masses of the Eucharistic Congress, and we proved that we are a multitude that prays for a better world.

On this occasion, our city was designated as the headquarters of the VIII National Gathering of Madrugadores, which will be, God willing, on the 19, 20, 21 August 2017.
