Lithuania began third course of Kentenich Family Pedagogy

LITHUANIA, Hilde and Herbert Fellhofer •

At the end of January, eight couples began participating in the third course of the Kentenich Academy for Family Pedagogy. The Academy for Family Pedagogy was introduced in Lithuania in 2009, during a family camp; the rest is the work of the Blessed Mother and the Holy Spirit.

Eva and Erich Berger began the first course in 2010, with several couples from Austria as speakers. The course ended in 2012 with ten couples from Lithuania.

The second course – Lithuanian families developed 90% of it – held its solemn celebration of sending forth on 7 February 2016. Bishop Arunas of the Diocese of Vilna blessed the couples and sent them forth.

The interim minister of Lithuanian Family Affairs gave a brief speech, and she presented a bouquet of flowers.

The Lithuanian television was present, and transmitted a 25-minute report:

A new culture of relationships

The Sisters of Mary from the Schoenstatt Center at Kahlenberg, Vienna supported this transmission with their prayers, and they see it a contribution to the Lithuanian “J. Kentenich Family Pedagogy Academy,” so that the objectives of the Family Synod 2015 will become a reality.

Meanwhile, the graduates from the first course work on their own as speakers for the second and third course, now with little Austrian support. The Family Academy in Lithuania subject is: A new culture of relationships.

Divine work? What is originating in Lithuania is not just the result of human effort! Whoever wants to support the academy groups in Lithuania can do so with their prayers.
