As missionaries, we dream of taking Mary to everyone!

PORTUGAL, María del Carmen and José Carlos Cravo •

During this Marian year when we are celebrating the 100th year of the Fatima apparitions, an eight-month itinerary (March to October) to accompany the visit of the Pilgrim Mother was proposed to me: a monthly meditation and a resolution that is a missionary gesture to take her to everyone.

At the same time, we will symbolically build a rosary with our life, answering the Blessed Mother’s call,

“I want (…) you to continue praying the Rosary daily in honor of Our Lady of the Rosary for world peace and for the end of the war, because only she can help you.” (13/07/1917)

We pray to the Blessed Mother that with every step of the road, our faith will grow, that families and everyone’s lives that receive her are strengthened. May we be missionaries who transform the world through prayer, our offerings to God, and our gestures so that there will be peace that you promised to give us!

As missionaries, we dream of taking Mary to everyone!

Testimonies…with great joy

I remember, with sincere emotion, the faces of the missionaries and coordinators of the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign gathered in the shadow of the Schoenstatt Shrine.

For me, it was the first contact with the Campaign, and I confess, I felt intimidated and very ignorant, although, very motivated. And this motivation, hope and love were also reflected in the heartfelt testimonies presented by three missionaries from Coruche – Ribatejo – who shared the great joy they felt as bearers of the Blessed Mother.

Then, Fr. José Melo presented the spiritual itinerary for the year 2017.

Not even the severe cold that day could dissuade people congregated there, who with faith and great love had time to pray, share and to learn, welcomed by the Blessed Mother.

I have known the Pilgrim Mother for a long time, even before being a seminarian, I made a university mission, and I believe that was my first contact. However, this year, when I participated in the missions as a priest, I was touched by the power of this picture, for the doors that are opened, and the effect it causes, and also the memory that it brings to a missionary knowing that one takes another presence.

These missions marked me greatly as a priest, and I grew a lot and discovered that I like carrying out the mission daily in the parish. I am thinking very much that perhaps I could be the Blessed Mother’s missionary, and in this way, take her on my visits.

Examples…on Mission

In the lands of Feijó, Diocese of Setúbal, the Blessed Mother, is already moving! And she does it by the hands of the little ones and the youths who go to catechesis, since she goes out every Saturday to visit a new family and stays there until the following Saturday.

During this year when we celebrate the 100th year of Fatima, we want to open the doors of our homes, our hearts, and pray to the Mother of Jesus to enter and remain with us.

This year we are going to offer the Blessed Mother our walk.

May every step of the road increase our faith and strengthen the lives and all those who receive you. We want to hear the petitions that Our Lady made to Lucia, Francisco, and Jacinta once again, and we also want to say our YES.

Our Lady of Grace’s Kindergarten joined the Schoenstatt Rosary Campaign. Two classrooms participated; each one has twenty-four young students between the ages of 3-5.

The 4-5 year old class went to receive the pictures on 1 March at 10:30 a.m., and the 3-4 year old class returned them on 29 March at 10:30 a. m.

On Friday, 7 March, at 2:30 p.m. the Blessed Mother visited the residents of the Bafureira Home of Caritas (a nursing home) in Parede. How did this happen?

This year we asked institutions that wanted to receive the Blessed Mother to help them experience a Lent closer to Jesus.

Caritas immediately joined and Maria João Melo and Helena quickly volunteered to take the Blessed Mother.
