Let’s go on a pilgrimage with the Blessed Mother through the cinemas!

SPAIN, Maria Fischer •

“Let’s go on pilgrimage with the Blessed Mother through the cinemas! Join this week and take ” Madre Ven” to many people”. If we already watched with amazement the repercussion of the ” Madre Ven” Pilgrimage, the idea of the production of a movie of it and the premiere in several dozens of movie theaters, seemed to us a subject of pious fiction… We are talking about cinema, this is Avatar II and Wakanda and EO, but ” Madre, ven”? Yes. This movie – let’s remember the story told by Paz Leiva – continues to fill movie theaters in Spain. And it seems to repeat the ” Madre ven effect” that happened along the way: the encounter with Mary is real. She touches something in the soul. It is an advent. The coming of Jesus is being prepared in movie theaters.

Madre Ven has entered its fourth week in the Spanish movie theaters this Friday. In some cities, such as Valencia, in some screenings people were unable to get in; in others the film may be facing its last days.

The production company informs that, in addition, special screenings are being prepared in other cities for the Christmas season.

Subsequently, starting in January, the film will continue its tour in other Spanish cities.

Madre Ven – the pilgrimage that becomes a film

Madre venMadre Ven was an unprecedented event in Spain. In 2021, when many confinements and government restrictions were still in place, an image of Mary Immaculate traveled 10,800 kilometers for six months across much of Spain.

Thousands of people accompanied the Virgin, and many say they felt her real presence, offering them light and hope in difficult times. The documentary part of the film, directed by Andrés Garrigó, gathers numerous personal testimonies of what this pilgrimage meant, not only for those who made the whole or part of it, but also for those who greeted her for a few hours in their towns and cities.

The images are also a subjugating visual journey through the national geography.

“For those who have not seen it, I can only say that they are 15 impressive testimonies about the favors that Mary did during her visit to Spain last year. Her real presence was felt, and the film continues to transmit that presence,” commented one of the organizers of the pilgrimage. “Just to say that everyone who has told me that they have seen it has not been indifferent. The film has managed to show very well the real presence of Mary through impressive testimonies…”.
