World Youth Day, which will take place in Lisbon from 1 to 6 August, is fast approaching. There is not much time left! World Youth Day is always preceded by international meetings of Schoenstatt youth. In Lisbon, 1400 young people are expected. It is necessary to welcome them and provide them with everything they need. For this purpose, different activities will take place in the Shrine of Lisbon (Cenacle of the Family of the Father) to experience family moments and to collect donations to cover the expenses. —
CONTIGO MARIA
One of these activities is the Candlelight Concert, CONTIGO MARIA. As the name suggests, it is a candlelight concert that contemplates the life of the Blessed Mother. A musical moment to listen and meditate.
The musical themes are by Bach, Handel, Schubert… and are played by piano, guitar, cello and violin.
The songs were sung by the Verum Lumine Choir, the Schoenstatt Choir of Lisbon.
Alberta Marques Fernandes, journalist, former radio and television presenter, a familiar face and voice to the Portuguese, will be the moderator.
When and where?
The event will take place on the 13th of May, 2023 – the feast of Our Lady of Fatima – at 21:30 with a reception at 21:00 in the Schoenstatt Shrine of Lisbon, Praça de Damão, 7A, 1400-085 Restelo, Lisbon.
